I would gladly take all 6 movies on blu-ray. I prefer the changes in the OT because it flows much better with the prequels. Episode I really needs a remastering.
U too!

I really hope that this will mean a double dip, and not a LONG wait until he thinks the Saga is ready for a release in 3-D and skip the 2D altogether, but that wouldn't make much sense business wise, so I doubt it will happen.

First the complete Saga on BD in 2D, and much later the 3-D versions is the preferred way!

Bring them on!!!! I need my SW fix now!!!!

It would be blasphemy if all 6 films with latest special effects were not released in 1 box. Upset the cry babies a little?

Just give me all 6 movies, with or without enhancements, and I'll be happy.

Personally, I prefer most of the enhancements. Apart from the awkward shootout between Han and Greedo, the unneeded Jabba outside Millennium Falcon scene(although it did bring Boba Fett into A New hope ), and the just as unneeded dance sequence in Jedi, the enhancements are an improvement. I so much more prefer the real Emperor as opposed to the weird monkey-eyed lady in Empire Strikes Back as well as Boba's new voice to add to the continuity.

I just hope they fix some of the lightsaber effects they messed with, Luke shouldn't have a green looking lightsaber in A New Hope. Oh, and CG Yoda in Phantom Menace.

I want Star Wars on Blu-ray, now!

Why should the OT have to bend to the will of the prequels?

I agree on all counts. In addition to a general remastering, TPM also needs the muppet Yoda replaced with the CGI model from Ep3. I'd say the Obi-wan shorted lightsaber scene needs to be reincluded, too.

It may be blasphemy, but I could see the Ep5 and Ep6 Yoda replaced by CGI, too.

The OT isn't so much bending to the will of the prequels as it is to the originally conceived vision of what these movies should have looked like.

I remember reading early drafts of "The Star Wars" a long time ago and thinking how similar the descriptions of, say, cities and vehicles were to the newer films. His vision of the first films, visually at least, was a lot closer to the newer films.

Personally, I prefer most of the enhancements, but not all.

No, I was watching them on SPIKE-HD. I will have to throw in my DVDs and see if there is any difference in them, as I have not watched the DVDs in quite a while do to SPIKE's oversaturation of them.

Still have not realized that there is a whole lot of people out there that cannot stand those PT abominations, as the differences between the two trilogies is night and day?

And why not replace Alec Guinness with Ewan McGregor while you're at it.

You know...sadly it would not surprise me if George replace Chewbacca with Jar-Jar.

Seriously, it would not surprise me in the least.

I'm all for whatever comes first..I just wnat to watch them all in glorious High-Def and with a load of bonus features IN HD. It would be nice to get both the unaltered versions and the enhanced. This way everyone is happy. I doubt Lucas will do that though. I'm prepared to buy 1-6 with the enhancements and I have no problem if Greedo shoots first.

I think the problem is that some people don't understand what it means to be a fan. They believe that a fan must love every aspect of Star Wars because if you don't you are nothing but a HATER! When in reality you can still love one part while hating the other.

I would have no problem buying a "Blade Runner Final Cut type" release of the Saga. Why not please all the fans instead of only some?

A nice set of all 6 movies would be fine, but expensive, and it's hard to tell what audience Lucasfilm is going for these days. The little kids who like the cartoon don't seem like the audience for a high-end box, but everyone else will expect exactly that.

Eh, they're just creeps. They actually care that some other person somewhere likes an old movie and wants to buy it, but doesn't want another, newer movie. It's insane.

Who cares. I have Star Wars Revisited and Empire Revisited will be out next year. Better than all the official releases out there by far.
