I had a lot of wherehouse.com credit, and even though the star wars complete set is a lot more then on amazon I was able to get it preordered for nothing out of pocket =)

Came out to be 106.00 after shipping. yes I know it is high but since i had the gift cards I figured why not.

I have a lightsaber collection (7 by Master Replicas, one signed by Ray Park), a chest FULL of figurines from the new and old movies, a car tag that reads OBI ONE, a pug named Kenobi, and I recently had a birthday where my awesome wife hired members of the 501st, in costume, to arrest me...I consider myself a pretty big Star Wars geek...and I'd rather wait a month lol.

Thank god, I just watch the movies and only have to look at the spine of that set...lol Wooo weee!

Sept 16th is gonna be AWESOME....

I agree of all the iconic imagery Lucasfilm had to choose from they went with this. I am excited about possible easter eggs however.

Judging from that ipad app preview, for fans of the prequel documentaries and web journals, it looks like they'll show up, just not in long form like the DVD's...which I can live with. Still wish Empire of Dreams was on here though...

But Star Wars... packaged on cardboard? No way. I still maintain there is zero chance that all 9 of those discs will be pristine out of the shrinkwrap, and even less chance of them staying that way after (somehow) taking them in/out of those ridiculous cardboard envelopes.

Star Wars deserves better.

Then again, right now I'm more bothered about them messing up Episode IV again. They'd have better fixed all the audio mistakes on this...

Machines can do incredible things these days. Fully robotic car manufacturing plants, soar beyond the solar system, and yes, I believe they can even insert discs into packaging without scratching them.

From what I can see in that pic they are not just cardboard sleeves they also have some sort of plastic tray to them.

Nah, just glossy cardboard underneath.

The printed picture is matte, but the cardboard under the disc is glossy, which helps the disc slide.

This set will be exactly the same as the Alien Anthology...

I was hoping the artwork would at least be production photos/stills or artwork related to the movies . The Jango artwork looks more like EU.

For those who don't like the cover art, Nissen has made some great custom covers using the Drew S posters.

for those that want to display thier saga outisde of the cardboard holders, I did some covers for all 6 movies and for the bonus disc. A lot different from any past covers (VHS or DVD) but its very Star Wars themed.
