So you are asking me to watch a review that will ruin Star Wars for me? No thanks! I love the Prequels and can't wait to see them, flaws and all!

Can't wait for
  1. The duel of the fates (Obi + Qui Gon vs Maul)
  2. The Obiwan vs Jango Fett (in the rain) duel
  3. The Clone wars begin battles
  4. The Opening of Ep 3 battle sequence
  5. The first time we see Vader in ep 4 (New Hope)
  6. Vader reveals himself - I am your father!
  7. Luke fights Vader (ep 6) while the rebellion fights in space
  8. One big happy ending, the galaxy is saved, and so is Anakin Skywalker.

Yep, can't wait!

Lucas seems to have regained his sanity with thi release. Should I dare to hope that Shaw's head is put back on Anakin's ghost body? Dare I hope that Han shoots first (and at all)??

I wouldn't be too surprised if Han shot first this time around, but as for the Christensen/Shaw deal I got a gut feeling that's one thing that won't change from the DVDs. It's a small thing anyway, there are other changes that I would want changed again before this one.

Ghost Anakin's head is now replaced with the Clone Wars CG animated TV series version of Anakin...

Never mention these reviews for the PT ever again. It's just more prequel trilogy bashing which we don't need. Don't keep bringing them up.

As long as the Han vs. Greedo scene is improved, I don't care who shoots first!

That digital lean is ugly as hell, it should look something like this:

It is a requirement for this thread to have something negative about star wars in general or the bluray discs for each post?

I still don't get why some are convinced they only replaced Shaw's head for the ending of "Jedi". To me, it looks like Hayden, dressed the whole way in traditional Jedi robes. Shaw's body looks noticably heavier than Hayden, and I suspect there'd be a height difference as well. From an effects standpoint, I'd think it'd be easier to just shoot Hayden alone, and then combine it with the existing elements, to form the final shot.

I used to think this, but they definitely only replaced the head. They did alter Shaw's body for the 2004 release, as it is skinnier and tilted to the side. But the folds and creases in the robes are exactly the same.

If Hayden is skinnier than Shaw, how are they going to cover up Shaw with the new Hayden footage, without making him appear too large compared to Ben?

It's also worth noting that Hayden never wore robes like that. I guess he could have borrowed Ewan's to shoot the scene... but there's no denying it's Shaw's body still.

lol it just seems that way.

"I'm excited for these releases but the PT sucks!"

"Oh the color looks terrible"

"Read these reviews about how awful the PT is"
Etc.

Just seems kind of ridiculous, guess not everyone can be pleased.

Hayden didn't even know about being added to Jedi, until the Dvd's were released. It was a head replacement, with Shaw's body tweaked.

Well, they could've used his robes from "Episode II", since the matching would be pretty close.

Don't think so...

not even close

but my whole point is that Hayden never had beige robes availible for him to wear for the two episodes he was in, so it's unlikely the footage was filmed during episode 2 or 3, the head is probably taken from some TV spot or other promo footage.

Here's the video:

The short shot of Greedo shooting actually comes from Hanszuper's spoof video
