I wonder how long until Martin Liebman gets this set for an official review here? Just curious if it is expected anytime soon or is this just sent out on a whim and it's a "you get it when you get it" thing.

FOX usually don't allow reviews to be published before release date. And usually Casey Broadwater handles FOX titles.

Yes, it appears that Casey will be reviewing these.

Thanks for that. From the ones I've read by him, he doesn't sugar coat any of his reviews. He is usually pretty tough on them, which I really like.

IF you had a 6th speaker, it would be a Center speaker in the Rear of your HT. I have a 7.1 with 2 Side Surrounds AND 2 REAR Surrounds
[Show spoiler](7.2, actually with 2 Subs via a Y-Splitter)
, so the "6th Channel" will be going to those 2 Rear Speakers in my instance.

As for your 2nd question, it says 6.1 DTS-HD MA, so there ya' go.
Thanks mate

Guys, in about a month I will be watching the Battle of Endor on a 140 inch screen. I cannot wait to see the rebel fleet come out of hyperspace. Seriously, I am going right to Jedi the minute I get this set in my lil paws! Anyone else doing the same thing?
I have to admit I am looking forward to the ships in RotJ flying through the Death Star, those little snippets were oddly intriguing and looked so good on my CRT on DVD years ago, now they fail to hold up. Bring on the Blu-ray!!!!!

And out of curiosity what is your screen (as in projector or TV?)

Also, am I in the minority or is anyone going straight to the final scenes of Attack of the Clones starting in the stadium? I caaaaaaan't waaaaaaait!!!!!!

Straight to the Hoth battle in Empire Strikes Back for me. It is by far the best battle sequence of the entire saga.

The packaging makes no difference to me anymore. I'm a real fan, I support Lucas. Those who do not like the changes and just want the UOT, don't buy the set. Those who like star wars (the storytelling) buy it and enjoy it. From what I've seen the set looks far superior to anything that's out there. This set is the reason I came here in the first place and the reason i'm leaving. May the force be with you.

I am excited for all of it. I am trying to plan a 12 hour marathon but that is not easy.

Projector! It is AWESOME! Only issue is you notice a lot of problems with some films being too overprocessed or not enough. I imagine its the same on any set, but the bigger the screen the more noticible somethings become. But whatever, our discussion isn't about the size of one's screen! As long as you can enjoy yourself that is all that matters.

The Arena I think is going to more of a audio feast. Lots of great effects and very active surrounds for sure! Good choice! Its on my list too!

I know the PT are going to sound great, I just hope that the OT(especially ANH) doesn't have that canned, tinny,
two-dimensional sound.

I plan to watch all the movies all the way through, before I go back and pick cool scenes to jump around to, after I watch the bonus material.

I have a feeling that this set is going to keep me occupied for quite a while.

I'm sure that Panny UK ad probably isn't using footage from the BD but I still looked closely at Yoda to see if he was still a puppet. Seems to be.

I know this isn't much different from anyone else here, but I am getting so excited as the release approaches.

I do not own any of the prequel films, so this will be the first time I own them all. I have been listening to Duel of the Fates a lot in anticipation. I was 11 when Episode I came out, so the reveal of Darth Maul at the climax was one of the first moments in cinema for me.

Had to share my eagerness.

If there are 40 hours of extras in this set and the Disc 9 contains only 7 hours of extras, then what are the other 33 hours of extras? Would that include audio commentaries? Or is there going to be 33 hours of deleted/alternate footage?
