Just got home from cruising in the Caribbean for five days, and this has at least put a bright spot in an otherwise depressing, not-yet-ready-to-be-back-home kinda day. Screenshots look absolutely fantastic. The first disc is one of very few that I had some buyer's remorse for, even at the $10 after rebate price point, since it's right up there with Gangs of New York in the horrible quality department. From the looks of things it'll probably be the best $10 disc I've ever bought. Kudos to Paramount and everyone who took the time to get this in the works. I have to laugh at the older posts by people saying the current version is fine, and those complaining about people's dissatisfaction with an obviously sub-sub-sub-par product. I'm sure none of the naysayers will be exchanging their copies

Its about time Gladiator gets remastered. I'm sure the cover will look a little different to seperate it from the old version.

Gladiator is the best movie ever.....EVER!! Its been almost a decade and it ain't been trumped yet.....maybe it will be trumped in the next decade sometime? Who knows, maybe , maybe not.

If there is a movie that deserves a reference grade transfer it is this one.

I couldn't agree more. I'm nervous that this exchange program is 'limited.' I hope all who want the new transfer get it.

Well i remember when disney corrected potc [the first movie] i call and they sent the corrected copy and said keep the old bd. i didn't even have to send anything back. same thing happened with termator3 from warners, they sent me the 1080p correction and said don't bother to send the old 1080i bd back. but all i heard was ,your gonna have to send the old disc back then they will send the new one. I don't know if paramount will do the same thing, but don't be surprized. which means anybody could call and get a disc.
