They're doing the right thing for Gladiator owners. Honestly, I really didn't expect them to offer replacements; I'm glad I was wrong. They promptly handled the SPR problem, now Gladiator. I have increased respect for the Sapphire series. You have my continued support.

I don't know, but no offense intended toward Paramount as I think this is amazing that they're doing this exchange program, but this all seems very odd. The long distance phone number, and how some people got a recording to send an e-mail (at least I think that's how they found out to use the e-mail address), the fact that people are getting a recording saying the message box is full, then how I got "Jeane" and was told it was the wrong number... it's all very odd...

But I am sure it'll all get worked out in the coming week(s).

They're getting a count.. they said they know how many of the original they've sold, but want to know the number that would actually exchange for this new one... and that's two-fold.

1) How many people who bought the orig Blu-ray of Gladiator even know there will be an exchange.

2) How many would actually go through with the exchange.

They are going to do the disc-for-disc exchange like Saving Private Ryan

Maybe you are right, but nobody knows exactly how Paramount will implement the exchange program. We all have to wait for their response to our e-mail.

Paramount is implementing a "limited" replacement program for people unhappy with the picture quality of Gladiator. The program has not offically started but you can either email your information or call and leave a message.

It is a "limited" replacement because there is no recall for the release out now. Eventually, the old stock will be replaced by the new stock.

Don't know. Paramount has not made an official announcement on the replacement program details.

Yes. In a brief press statement, they acknowledge that some people may be unhappy with the picture quality.

Exactly, we don't really know THAT many details right now. I have not heard that Paramount is only doing this to get a count for who wants to do the exchange (except from FrozenPinky which it sounds like that's just a guess as to what's happening).

Yes. Huge companies dont do anything without the use of numbers. They're getting a count first. Business is about stats. Not to mention they told me
