I confirm this. I just got a remastered version from my local Best Buy - white-labeled UPC without the 2-disc label above the Paramount logo, and both discs are grey.

The other five (5) blu-ray copies at the store all had the yellow-labeled UPC with the 2-disc label above the Paramount logo.

I'm a bit confused. I haven't bought Gladiator yet on Blu-Ray. So what exactly does the remaster have or don't have to look for to make sure it's the right one?

Does it have @2010 on it or will it still say @2009?
What's with the yellow vs. white UPC?
Does the "2 disc" need to be off or on the cover?

Thank you jw Super Moderator for the image of the new Gladiator box. Would you be kind enough to show us the images of the two remastered discs in case someone wants to buy Gladiator used and does not want to end up with a remastered box and the old discs. If you could also indicate what if anything is different - color, information, etc. that would be very helpful. Thanks!

Yea I bought this about 2 weeks ago from the Wal-Mart I work at and they had the yellow labeled ones. I have never seen the movie itself. I like Russell Crowe and will watch it soon.

Yes, this version and it is the remastered copy. I got this steelbook about a month or so ago and it looks great. Well worth the buy, I am glad I waited and didn't have to deal with the whole replacement process and I got a steelbook out of it.

Why do they still ship the original release? Why don't they return them all to Paramount and get the new release?

I'm not gonna re-buy this unless I'm sure Amazon's only ship the new release.

Because the original release was never actually recalled. The remastered version basically just magically appeared. If it was handled in a manner like The Fifth Element was, then things would be different.

I only see the remastered version here on Blu-ray.com - however it does not link to Amazon.com to purchase. The only one that links to Amazon is the original. The ones that I see in stores also look to be the original version as well. Can anyone assist me in getting the remastered version in my collection?

Both covers are the same; Paramount decided it would be awesome not to make it clear which one was remastered.
