I want the best edition, I don't care what region. But it seems that only the Region B restored edition carries the 55th Anniversary logo whereas the North American restored edition does not

The australian cover that some one just put up is from 2010, that as RockyIII says looks '50th anniversary looks FUGLY'

The American copies are all region, there is no excuse

It says "restored" on the cover. It's not subtle.

Is this garbage still going on, even after people have repeatedly pointed out which version to get? (And it's not rocket science, it's very easy to figure out if you look at release dates instead of covers).

Only if you know which was the first 'good' release. Which is why I asked for clarification after seeing that a) the 50th anniversary version is the only one available here and b) it claimed to be restored.

To suggest getting the one with 55th Anniversary on the cover is confusing in the least. No 55th Anniversary sign is on the US edition

Happy to announce that I finally grabbed this one and I got the right edition too!
Unreal PQ! This is by far the only remastered title that can held as high as Lawrence of Arabia...
Absolutely magnificent, grain-free, flawless picture, no speckles or signs of damage to the elements. Luscious color palette, sharp but not over-sharpened, this is it guys...It doesn't get any better!
