Well, she's cute, sure. She's on TV. Most people on TV are.

But I just thought that was really funny.

That's been a consistent complaint in several reviews and it makes sense to me. If the movie really is just A New Hope (Again) then I'll be pretty disappointed.

Just saw it. Spectacular return of the Force. Fun, touching, exciting. Need to see it again and again soon.

IMAX 3D tonight.
Standard 2D sometime after Christmas but before New Year's.
IMAX 3D again in January when the hype slows down and before they remove it from IMAX.

Great film but why is so much going over peoples head with regards to Rey becoming
[Show spoiler] Super force sentive at the end. You can clearly tell that she is already Jedi trained and that her memory was wiped or blocked. If you look between the lines you can clearly see that it comes back in the fight with Ren. In the moment she close her eyes and then came out fighting. Also right after that fight she meets up with Lea and you tell in that they recognised each other and hugged for her loss. This was not two strangers meeting for the first time. Lea walked right past everyone else to get to Rey. Han didn't know her so clearly han had left lea in the build up of Rey memory block.

I saw it this morning at 11 3D IMAX. I had legit watery eyes when the titles came up followed by the text scroll.

I saw Revenge of the Sith at the cinemas so its not like i've never seen a Star Wars movie before, but this was special. It's been so long, and this is the start of a new era in the Star Wars franchise.

I thought it was awesome, nostalgia rush the entire movie but plenty of fresh new stuff.

I thought the new faces did awesome, so did the old. I didn't really concrete much on the soundtrack because I was a bit overwhelmed but not much stood out for me.. Its released digitally tomorrow so I will listen to it again start to finish.

JJ was absolutely the right person to kick this off!

I must be missing
[Show spoiler]where it's implied that Rey knew Han and Leia in a suppressed memory, or even where she's been force trained. Leia knew Han meant something to Rey because he offered her a job and a future, and through that she looked up to Han and saw him as a surrogate father of Kylo Ren put it. As for the vision scene, it was never shown her learning her force abilities, it was just that she was abandoned and Kylo massacred the rest of the training Jedi, it was never made clear the two were connected in any way. It may become apparent in the sequels, but not here.

3 stars for me at the moment..
[Show spoiler]they killed Han goddamit - I assume that was HF making it a condition of his participance given that he wanted to die in Jedi. Poor Chewie - no hugs for his loss
and as others have stated
[Show spoiler]It pretty much is the plot from 4 with bits from 5 and 6 thrown in for good measure.
2nd viewing Saturday for a more objective view.
