Sure we can nit pick little things but in the grand scope of things, STAR WARS IS BACK IN A MAJOR WAY!
Over 1.5 billions dollars in ticket sales says something.

Of course I contributed around $200.00 so far.

To me people sound more villainy when they threaten to kill me and/or destroy the world. Regardless of accent.

I do have to say that I didn't give any thought to the accents, it's a big galaxy after all and it's doubtful that they would all have the same accent. It's not like the USA has a consistent accent....

Just so you guys know it will destroy Avatar today. It took Abrams only 20 days to achieve what Cameron took months and months to get. Woo Haa!!!

Sounds like they made the "Retro C" lenses using some parts from the B and T series, but used Primos were they wanted a "harder" look.

As a sidenote, someone needs to fix IMDB's "4K" spec on this thing. It was blur city after the Laser IMAX promo, no way this is 4K.

All I've got to say is thank goodness they decided to shoot with the lenses and cameras that they did with the right talent. Visually this is the third best looking SW film after Empire and the original film.

About that scene, I have to award it the most cheesy scene of all time!
[Show spoiler] He's fighting Rey then all of the sudden, he offers her a service: Do you need a trainer?! I can be your trainer?!
The writer really pushed the cheese out of cheesy here...

It really doesn't - it makes perfect sense within the context of the story and has plenty of precedent in Star Wars mythology. Maybe that beat could've been written and delivered a touch better but "most cheesy of all time"? Just stop.

Yeah, that line is logical for the series, and not at all cheesy. Do people even know what cheesy means?

Well
[Show spoiler] she clearly refused his service in the end, so he tried and failed basically. The writer made a fool out of his self creating a line that was basically useless in the end

That makes absolutely no sense. Do you understand writing and storytelling at all?

That is one of the most staggeringly stupid things I've read on the internet in weeks. Congratulations (and may God have mercy on your soul)

This was one of several things in the movie that told me the new trilogy was not just going to honor the old but take Star Wars to new places and styles.
The only thing that would have made that scene more badass would be...

[Show spoiler]If Luke used the force to take the light saber from Rey after she offered it to him!

Ahh, it's so good to be back in here.

I can't believe I actually lasted three months and went into yesterday's viewing almost entirely spoiler free.

No, that would be lame. It's perfect just the way it is.

What I loved about the
[Show spoiler]Rey vs Kylo
scene was how you could see the
[Show spoiler]reflection of the lightsabers in their eyes.
That was so neat, I loved it.
