Even if you don't do well, the Groom will appreciate the effort. He knows you well, I assume, so may understand if things aren't said perfectly. Think positive and don't be nervous.

Turned out the wedding reception was done in an unorthodox manner. Nobody gave any speeches at all at the request of the bride and groom and not much in the way of dances happened. Very odd, but I'm glad for it. All my worry was over nothing. I survived.
