Caan, Duvall; directed by Peckinpah....this can't be bad, right?

This is one of my favorite Peckinpah films. Day one preorder for sure.

Twilight Time is really stepping it up this year.

If Twilight Time got the same master as Wild Side used for the French release, fans should be pleased. The French disc is startlingly good. A real eye-opener (pun very much intended ).

Agree, the French disc is very good indeed.

For Comcast customers this is available free on demand - via MoviePlex(?). Not sure if that's a channel or what, but it shows up as a free movie in the on demand section.

No idea if it has anything to do with Twilight Time, or just a coincidence, but several of the titles licensed by Twilight Time have popped up there..."Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia" was also on there. There were a bunch more that have come and gone, not sure what's still up... I just happened to notice Killer Elite was a new one.

Looked pretty good too, even though it was 1080i.

I may have have to break my no Twilight Time rule and order this one. As much I dislike TT's business model, this is a great guy flick. Caan, Duvall, Peckinpah.

Don't think I've ever seen this one. I was confusing it with the Clint Eastwood mountain-climbing thriller (the title escapes me but I thought it was similar to "Killer Elite"). Anyway, this will be a sure blind-buy. I'm glad many of these neglected movies are getting new lives, even if they make us a little poorer in the process . Gotta say, though, I much prefer they receive the deluxe treatment rather than continue mired in $5 barebones dump-bin editions.

You were thinking of The Eiger Sanction, another title that needs to be released. Good news about Killer Elite coming out though.

The Eiger Sanction. Sadly, still not out on blu-ray. Great film.

I will likely get this. It may be a bit depending on the release date, but like somebody else said, they are stepping it up lately. This is the third Twilight Time thread today that I've posted in about purchasing.

I’d be happy to see someone release it. I stupidly missed out on the TT release and I’m so mad at myself because I still haven’t seen a decent version of Noon Wine.

Noon Wine is a masterpiece IMO, and if the Scorpion and/or Indicator end up leaving it off, the TT will still be the one to own imo

This is the very first American movie where ninjas appeared.
They looked and felt very weak anyway.

Overall, it's a good adventure movie, not great.

Not holding my breath. I remember asking Kino to do the same for their re-release of "The Pink Panther" a few years back (another MGM master) and they didn't seem to do f*ck all.
