Yes, that’s what I meant. Thanks. So the foldout inner portion of the slipcover will be the original art, but the insert in the case will be match the outer slipcover art?

Yep, that's correct.

You can see this unboxing of The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance for an example (should be visible in thumbnail too):

The Presents titles are limited to 10K, and if/when it sells out, a standard edition with original poster art may come out. That's been the case for Liberty Valance, and War of the Worlds '53 so far.

Loathe this practice btw; Olive pulled the same shit with their Signature editions. The insert should be the OG art; having two identical covers when there's another available is redundantly impractical.

I've gotten more and more in the habit of chucking slipcovers that don't deviate from the case art, though I maddeningly have to keep the PP ones because of the foldout.

Thought that was just me. I understand the allure of a slip cover when it has different art work. But when it is the exact same artwork - front and back - from the case art? I don't get the attraction. In those cases, removing the cardboard is just a needless step that provide no value add to me. Actually, it slightly increases the space it takes up on the shelf. 1 or 2 won't make a difference, but an entire row of slipcovers would reduce the amount of films I could put on it...maybe by only 1 or 2, but with me real estate is at a premium!

Obviously others disagree with me as slipcovers - regardless of artwork - are very important to others.. That's fine.. I just don't understand it

For Noir fans with a region B player (or with multi-region capabilities), Indicator Powerhouse (UK) is having a sale, and they have some great stuff available.

Among the highlights, there's their recent Limited Edition release of Night Has a Thousand Eyes, at the low price of £6,99:

Their lovely Universal Noir boxsets are £39,96 each:

Plus, they have a selection of dozens of Noir titles as part of a "3 for £15" promotion:

What other movies have been released as this presents line?

Anyway, Behind the Huge Wall was not a bad movie. It sure as hell was far superior to all three of that boxing crap.

With that said, I am now done with all 14 sets. I can't believe I have gotten through every movie I had. Now I need to get the others, which I'll wait for a sale on. I just hope it happens when I have the money.

If so count yourself lucky. The Paramount Presents version is actually a lot worse PQ-wise despite having a much newer master.

A random question, but I recently became aware that Universal's Double Indemnity BD release has a bonus film, a SD presentation of a 70's made for TV remake (I own the earlier released UK BD from Eureka, so I didn't have the US BD).

I was wondering if there's any similar cases of releases having a related bonus film (even if in SD) on the disc, that are otherwise unavailable on the format?

I know Criterion's release of The Killers has both the 1946 and 1964 films, but that is more of a double feature release, where the 2 films are properly advertised on the front cover.

thank you

probably.. definitely in the dozens. For Film Noir, most recently the new Chinatown 4k release has the 2 Jakes in BD included

Criterion's High Sierra has Colorado Territory (1949) as an extra (loosely based on the original novel).

I know about that one.
But, that is basically a double feature release, in which The Two Jakes is already available separately on its own BD, and they are just adding the disc to the new set.

My question was very vague, I know, but I was thinking more about titles that have related films (not shorts; but full length related TV or theatrical films, be it remakes, sequels, ...) included as a bonus, that are unavailable outside of it on Blu-Ray.
Like the example I mentioned, Double Indemnity having the TV film remake in SD.

I was more interested in examples in the Noir genre, but stepping outside the genre for a bit, Warner's The Dirty Dozen has the TV film The Dirty Dozen: The Next Mission as a bonus. Also from Warner, Forbidden Planet has The Invisible Boy as a bonus feature.

Not really a separate movie, but The Big Sleep includes the preview cut.

Yes, that is the version I have, but it's not 4K.

My BD of Scarface also included a disc for the 1932 version.

I believe an early version of The Maltese Falcon included the first remake that was under the name Satan Met A Lady.

Thanks.
I believe it was only on the 3 DVD set, not on the Blu-Ray release though.
