I'd tell your friends to be careful sharing their Netflix account around. I don't know what the rules are, but you can bet Sony and/or Netflix are fully aware of which PSN/PS3 systems are using a Netflix account. There's also the moral side of it but that's a completely different matter.

Your point is that they're inept? Network security specialists have to be perpetually preparing for any of a thousand possible contingencies, and they have to be right every time. The hacker only has to be right once, just like any other terrorist.

Whether you agree or not, I don't think you're in a position to judge how "rounded" some people's lives are. Your arrogant statement (and attitude) is completely unwarranted. You also have to realize that these reactions are compounded by the surrounding circumstances:

1) Three big games released this week.
2) Easter weekend.
3) Some children have an extra day off tomorrow for Easter/Good Friday. And this one school day they have off until June and extra day for the weekend, they can't play their new games online.

In a situation like this, complaining and whining is a natural and understandable consumer response. But it just seems you can't deal with the negative reactions.

Just because the PS service is free doesn't mean that consumers can't complain or voice their annoyance with not being able to play $60 games online. Consumers expect it to be fully functional upon buying a PS3 and when it isn't, they naturally can be upset.

Now, I won't comment on people demanding games or rewards for putting up with it. I won't demand it, but I sure won't turn it down.
