They (HCG) are catching hell... well, relatively... A lot of people frustrated at the bots buying them all up. I've looked through twitter, I don't think I saw one person respond to HCG that they actually got one.

Not sure if I would blame it on "bots", I think its because it's a Stout print for a rather high profile film and the first Stout print in quite some time.

Really? Take a look at how many are on eBay. Mondo's way of doing business sucks for the actual fans of these posters who can't get one when they go on sale.

I hate to break it to you but eBay being flooded after a high profile print by a popular artist isn't anything new. It's always been that way but that has nothing to do with bots, it's that a lot of people buy to resell rather than collect, it's been that way for a long time. I agree, it does suck for those who want the actual print for their collection, but just because there are a ton on eBay, it isn't because of bots, its just because it seems there are more people who manage to get one to resell rather than to collect. Also I was the assumption the latest Stout print was through Hero Complex, not Mondo?

Holy.
Crap.

Looking at the tweets, it looks like the posters (which had a good run - 750 for the "basic") was sold out within a minute of the original tweet.

Wow.

What is this? Star Wars?!?
Have you tried the artist's site? I know a lot of the Mondo prints that sell out instantly are sometimes available on the artist's site through APs.

A lot of collectors feel that way, if you have followed the Mondo craze since the early days you will notice that a good number of the originals artists that did prints don't seem to be doing any for them. When was the last time you saw an Olly Moss or Daniel Danger be offered? They have a lot of newer artists that do prints, many for films most people have never heard of. I lost interest a few years back, as have a lot of people I know which means its a bit easier for others to get. I had met Justin a few times at conventions, really super nice guy, curious why he isn't with Mondo anymore though. he had a big passion for movies and prints.

They released a Daniel Danger Hannibal print a couple months ago. A lot of the newer artists are easy passes for me, especially WBYK. Don't like anything by them. I rarely have any luck on the leftovers they post on there from exhibits or cons but most of the prints they release exclusively for the site that I had to have, were easily attainable for me. Of course that's after a year or two of trial and error trying to figure out the exact time of drops and when to keep trying to add it to my cart and when to stop.

I would tend to agree, the stuff Mondo has put out for the most part in the last three years or so really have not interested me from a collecting standpoint or even a reselling standpoint. So I stay out of it, and it gives someone who really does want a print a slightly better chance on getting it. I think a lot of the "flippers" have jumped shit as well, but a new crop is always there to fill their spots. But I think more and more collectors are starting to get the prints they want, with a few exceptions as some artists prints will always sell out quickly. But that is what happens when it comes down to something that is "limited" in nature.

I am sure all know by now but it seems another Stout print dropped at MondoCon, it was for "The Goonies", a variant edition limited to 300 for those who attended the screening of the film. That could mean a standard edition will be released via the Mondo website soon.

Heck with that I'm all about the inevitable Ken Taylor Batman drop Stout's stuff is nice and all and he's a great artist but it's all the exact same, it's like dude switch it up every once in awhile. Just my opinion.

I'm expecting those two prints to drop at some point. They already dropped Part I of MondoCon so that means we will be getting some more prints from that. The first drop happened the other day. The only one that I wanted and got was The Rocketeer regular.

Love The Goonies, hopefully a print does drop on Mondo for a chance to get it. The Halloween one by Edmiston is quite nice as well.

I passed on The Rocketeer, been debating getting the one at HCG from Paul Shipper.

I wanted one so I will probably get on this deal.
Still waiting on them to ship this poster out to me. They sure seem to take their time with these things.

Mondo generally posts the print and then ship out their prints after the printer is done printing them, so when you see Mondo offer a print, chances are they have not even been printed yet. It can take upwards of a month or two to get a print processed. When something is an open edition and not limited, it could even take longer.

Just went over the 2 month point. I contacted them the end of September and they said they had just received them in the warehouse. They needed to number them and they would ship them out the first week of October. I guess I need a little more patience, but I'm ready to get that sucker up on the wall!

Hopefully not too much longer.

Yeah, I've been waiting too. Haven't gotten a frame for it yet so it will likely remain in the tube even when I get it, I've got some other prints that need framing first and money's a bit tight now that I'm done with my theater splurge.
