I just moved into a new place and I'm putting my posters on the wall, and I'm finding it tough to choose which posters I wanna feature. There's just way too many to choose from and space is kinda limited. Then I remembered all the little digital picture frames I see at families houses and such, so I figured I could just get a larger one (I know they exist, as I see them in subways and stuff) up and load a bunch of posters I wanna feature.

My question is, is there an affordable solution, and do they make them in regular poster size for commercial use?
Check this thread out... it's kind of the defacto TV as a movie poster thread:

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=134473

Good info in there and with the rapidly declining prices on flat screens I believe it to be a great option when space is limited. I know I have more money wrapped up in poster than it would have likely cost me to build one of these and I can only display one of my movie posters at a time.

That is true too, it is a very informative website with a lot of knowledgeable people there, but with regards to the prints he is looking for, even the EB site isn't the best place since so many people have them on their "want" list and so few have them on their "for sale" list. Also some people who have them for sale end up selling or trading them and never update their post or remove it once a print is for sale. And those pieces he is looking for are getting rather difficult to find, and with that means higher prices.

Agreed... the Wanted/For Sale section on the individual prints is a true waste of time. I have contacted numerous people there and never heard a peep from any of them. The For Sale thread is the place to hang out... that's where the "deals" are.

http://forum.expressobeans.com/viewforum.php?f=10

Edit:

Goodness me... I had no idea the Iron Man II Stout Variant had snuck up over $330! A local seller to me has one for sale now for $330

http://forum.expressobeans.com/viewt...n+man#p1798747

Six Month average $373, the For Sale Thread is where it's at!

For example the Iron Man teaser Paramount did back in 2008 and the Casino Royale advance that MGM did as well as other glossy originals had the gloss only on the front side, not the back. My guess is you have an original and not a reprint.
Oh trust it's the original. I've owned many posters and not till I worked for a movie theater did I know what the original was. There is more "texture" on this than others. It's glossy and texture.

Thanks for the info. I never heard of them. But any place that sells them for prices that are better than eBay is deff a good place to hang out.

This gets interesting:
I notice no fade really MAYBE one shade down (maybe on the double side)
The front side HAS TEXTURE to it. The destruction is shiny/glossy in areas in the light you can even run your hand across and feel it. On the double side it's more like a regular poster, no texture. The picture is almost the same- very little fade.
have pics but they are on my phone they almost look alike.
After close inspection mine is one shade or so lighter on the back. You can see more info in the shadow. Also I could find no texture, and the poster is not a glossy. I looked very closely at the Paramount stars in their logo and see no blurring (said to be present in fakes). One last point. The paper isn't "cheap" thin, it has some thickness to it. My only concern now would be the strong ink odor. Who knows?

Thanks for the reply, interesting stuff.

Not sure what it means but I have a ST First Contact theatrical from 1996 that has the faded back. Of course that was issued by Paramount as well.

Thanks for the reply.

Really hope the Stout Drive poster gets released soon ughh seems like it's been forever. I know they made a post that the vinyl was being pressed currently so hopefully it isn't much longer.

I would need to go back and see when Paramount started doing it, but it is very possible they started in the mid-90's. Wasn't Saving Private Ryan a Paramount release? That was 1999 to my knowledge and I believe those had the faded back as well. Time sure flies....

Nice score. I have a hard enough time just trying to get any posters from their drops because I can only do it on my phone and you got two.

Though I enjoyed the movie I am not a fan of the franchise enough to buy this poster. Being Ceasar Moreno's first print with Mondo I'm guessing that the draw for this poster will be limited and you would have a pretty good chance of scoring one. That's just my guess anyway.

It always seems that posters that are not popular and or not great tend to be readily available..............

[Show spoiler]

Now waiting on some Evangelion charishis and poster; Cardcaptor Sakura the movie poster; Alien with Alien festival, Blade Runner, Interstella 555, Dark Crystal and Ghost in the Shell charishes. Of course these being sent from Japan its a much longer and more annoying wait

i think the colouring and style looks like the style of the graphic novel which is ten times better than the film.
