It looks great in the lightbox, I'll try and grab a pic tonight.

Edit: Tried in vain again to get a decent picture... one day I'll buy DSLR

I picked mine up off eBay today for around $20 shipped. I think this guy has more left.

They say in the description that it's a single sided reprint.

Didn't notice that at first, interesting that they list as "Re-Print" when it technically should be called "Reprint"...they clearly must be afraid of that word. It's nothing more than a digital copy they are producing, I'd have a small ounce of respect if they offered their garbage in 26x39 inch sizes and not 27x40 inch which is the same size as originals.

Glad you got your Underworld poster by the way, I knew you really wanted it. I am sure you already checked it out front and back and verified it as an original from that eBay seller you mentioned. Sorry I wasn't able to get them.

I just ordered my Underworld poster, I haven't gotten it yet. I'm hoping it's original, the seller looks legit.

Yes the seller does, but you know what to look for now, check out the back first and foremost, it should be a lighter shade than the front.

Great deal you got there and their shipping rates to Canada are really good too. Did you see the Dark Knight 'Why so serious' poster up on Ebay? $50! I'm usually in the 'if it is too good to be true, it usually is' camp, but I am pretty tempted at that price. They sell that for $300 on movieposter.com.

Edit: Not sure if you looked at the other products this seller has for sale, but I will say he loses some creditability with that lineup of snuff.

Figured some of you might get a kick out of these. If I could find the high-res images I'd actually print these out and frame some, they're really well done. I like the Avatar, Fifth Element, and Ghostbusters ones the best.

Martin Ansin Tron this week. Wish they weren't selling them as a set. Really like the Legacy poster. If I go for this I'd probably sell the original Tron poster.

Those are really cool. James Dean was born to play The Driver!

Anyone get the The Princess Bride poster by JRD?

Yeah those are crazy and Ansin just keeps dropping amazing stuff. They are very expensive though and i think they should have split them up for people who didn't like one or the other. I think the Legacy one is stronger visually and the addition of Daft Punk is awesome. I see these glow in the dark and are also UV coated so that means you could just use regular glass/plexi on it so it would cut down on framing cost which is always a good thing. One last thing as stated in the article since these are Disney related Sideshow collectibles will have a variant.

$50 for a Dark Knight advance "B" (Why So Serious?) style is a steal, $300 is overpriced in my opinion at this time but certainly will be that someday. There is a fair price somewhere in there, I would never charge $300 right now for it myself. But also remember there are a large number of fakes out there that most people who bought one didn't even know about the knock-off's being put out there by certain dealers and individuals so you have to be quite careful on that particular poster especially. The authentic ones are 27 x 40 1/16th of an inch in size. They don't feature a faded backside to them, as that studio didn't start doing that until around March 2008 with the two final styles for Dark Knight, the first two advance styles didn't have the faded back side to them.

I don't think $90 for a set of two is asking too much. 24x36 inches UV finish and glow-in-the-dark inks? Price seems fair to me, and collectors will want the set with matching numbers. If anyone gets a set, you can always sell off the one you don't like or keep it together. I think they look good, and as always, they will sell out in seconds. 390 sets, probably over 10,000 Mondo print collectors out there, they will be gone fast.

Sideshow I believe has the Disney license which is why Mondo is partnering up with them, with Sideshow offering the variants as they have for their other Disney prints as of lately (Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, etc from Whalen). These Ansin Tron/Tron Legacy variants will be quite popular and my guess is limited to 100-150 sets.

Very true Kinsella and i guess looking at it price wise $90 for two high quality Ansin posters is reasonable considering what they will be on the aftermarket. Mondo can sell variants as high as $90 and like you said the gid inks alone is pretty cool. I would be interested in the UV coating aspect and i assume this would give the print a shiny surface?
