So Wondercon is easily something you could do as well and if Mondo has exclusives there, you could easily pick them up at Wondercon living in the area per say. If they release something big and you don't go, you will kick yourself for not going and buying the print at the original price rather than later on EB or eBay.

Yeah I guess in some ways it does. New Zealand? Home of the great Peter Jackson and the equally great Neil Finn I might add.

You can always take a "sick" day or see if they can give you a day off, the show isn't for another 3+ weeks.

I will be at Wondercon, not SDCC. I then have to rush back and prep for the big 3-day show here in Seattle.

Emerald City Comic-Con is a very well organized convention. I am good friends with the organizers and have nothing but total respect for the guys because they consistently put on a great convention, making it bigger and better with each passing year. 2012 marks the 10th anniversary, its 3-days, March 30-April 1 this year. I hear nothing but positive comments from the fans, and fellow exhibitors, as well as the guests too. It's not SDCC chaotic, its busy and lots of people, but well planned out and organized so everyone has fun.

They also a huge anime convention here called Sakura con. I have never been to that, but it's a very large event here. We also have PAX Prime in late August which is a lot of fun. Went last year for the first time as a fan, didn't set up at that show, not sure if gamers are into original movie posters enough to want to purchase them.

In the last 5 years SDCC just been tooo chaotic. Prices keep rising and people keep buying.. Still love the good ol days when you use to just wait in line to just buy your ticket to get in.. Hope one day they expand some more or.. just find a solution where everyone could have a chance to attend. Luckily i always find a way to attend. But It's getting harder every year to get tickets. I might just have to explore other options like wonder con and other smaller events.

That is exactly what I have heard about SDCC, its chaotic. Tons of people, and there were rumors of it moving out of San Diego, but I think that they resigned to stay there for the time being. WonderCon is put on by the same company, and its usually held in San Francisco, but for 2012 they moved it down to Anaheim. Since this is my first at Wondercon, not sure what advantages/disadvantages it will bring. I think a lot of people who don't want to pay the higher SDCC ticket prices will opt for Wondercon instead, but also I think a lot of the people who normally live closer to San Francisco may make the 5+ hour drive south to Anaheim to attend as well. I would think a fair amount of people who go to SDCC would want to go to Wondercon, since SDCC is over four months away. I guess we shall see. Another show coming up is one in San Jose called Big Wow, really nice guys put that show on and they have a very impressive guest list this year.

SDCC was suppose to go to Vegas but San Diego bought another 4 year contract for them to stay. I guess its a big money maker for the city. I dont think theyd want to lose out on that money. Rumors been saying that down the line they will expand once again the convention center to accommodate more people. Every year i feel very excited to go to SDCC. Though every year i find myself disappointed by not finding what i want to buy there. Last year i was trying to find an original le planete sauvage (Fantastic Planet) French Grande poster 47 x 63 i really wanted. Either.. they didnt know what i was talking about.. or they had it back in their shops.. I just ended up with a lot of business cards in the end lol. So finally i just got it online.

Vegas? Hmmm, that would be different to say the least. Maybe if they keep Wondercon in Anaheim, perhaps they will move SDCC to Vegas afterall.

Ya Vegas since it has the largest convention center there and it would hold more people. But i really dont see it moving from san diego. It's Too much of a money maker for the city to just let it go. San Diego is not know for many things. But Every Year hundreds of thousands of people come from all over the world to this event.. I don't see it moving. But you never know..

They have not sold out and its been over a week, so maybe they should go for a smaller print run on the standards. I was pretty surprised they had 400 of them, they should have started off lower, say 250 and if they sold out really fast they would have known to increase the production a little. Talented artist, but also I don't think word had spread enough about them originally which creates a buzz beforehand.
Ah i see. I hope they still plan on making more types
