If you can still cancel your order, I would do that, and let me send you some sample of the 2mil 2" opening that I use, and if you are happy with it, then you can order it from ULine, I should have suggested that to everyone first when I posted, that way people would have an idea of what it is like, etc. So long as people cover the postage, etc, I have no problem sending enough for one poster so they get an idea of what it is like.
No, it's ok. 1 poster is fine.

Out of curiosity, how much would it cost you to send them, Kinsella?

Told you Australia sucks. Don't know what to do now.
I would have to find out, basically if my supplier is out they have to special order them and when they arrive they call me. But even though it may be hard to imagine, 10 sleeves are actually pretty heavy. I could probably take a case worth of 10 used ones into the post office and find out roughly what it would cost though.

Honestly what I would worry about though is the damage it could potentially take from going so far and being mistreated during its journey. The box really isn't that study and usually can make due for short trips shipping-wise, but going all the way to Australia would probably result in some of them being cracked. All it takes is someone to drop the box on a corner and the ripple effect could crack some.

Were you able to cancel your order with ULine? Send me a private message, its probably easier.

Could you use the larger rolls to store flat posters or hang them like I wanted with the UltraPro sheets?

Would those be too expensive to ship too?

Not quite sure what you mean by "larger rolls to store them flat". Send me a private message, let's take it over to there. If you send me a PM I will respond later today, I need to open the boxes containing the Dark Knight Rises bus shelter posters and see how they look in-person.

Finally might have a lead! Found a Ultra Pro distributor. Waiting to hear back and see if they can help or direct me to a store that they supply.

In the mean time I may have found a couple of solutions.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/LOT-48-Acid-...-/390434930850

http://www.preserveproducts.com.au/Mylar_Rolls.html

Would either of these work for what I want to do?

Might be going to get the Picture Carton tomorrow so I can finally store them flat.

The first link probably would not be ideal for you as that material is really very thin is basically the same type of bag a person would put a comic book in, etc. Because a poster is typically rolled, it won't be rigid enough to keep them flat. The second link is mylar which is thin as well, and may not work, ultimately what you want is something that is rigid or semi-rigid, the thicker and harder the sleeve is, the easier it will be to store posters flat.

Random request...I'm trying to date a picture of the theatre I work at more accurately (we're not a movie theatre anymore and the building has burned down and been completely reconstructed since this picture...but still!)

The first poster in the picture is Bambi...which maybe puts it at 1975 because that was the year of a theatrical re-release. I cannot place the second poster though, it looks SO familiar.

Here's a link to the picture (thought I'd put a link instead of embedding since it's a little bigger):

I tried and tried but I just can't make out any detail to figure it out. The poster is doing it's job though, the lady is looking at it while walking by.

The pose in the poster is very familiar...so I know it's one I've seen before, but I can't place it.

The tube is probably the safest place for it... Unless you invest in a portfolio. It would be nice to get flattened before getting it signed so you don't risk getting it damaged when having it signed but portfolios are a bit of an investment.

Keep it in the tube, it should be safe and secure in there.

In the spirit of the recent they live blu-ray announcement of it coming out in November, I was lucky enough to get this to add in my collection.

As others have said, if it is a thick tube, keep it in there, and when you take it out to have it signed, make sure your hands are clean. Depending on what the colors are of the print, you may want to have it signed in a certain color Sharpie pen. They make silver and gold ones that really look good, if you don't think the person signing it will have pens, you may want to pick up the color of your choice before going to wherever you are having it signed, that way you are providing the color you want, as sometimes at conventions guests are given black sharpies, and sometimes black isn't the always way to go when it comes to signatures.

Congrats, now if only they would release The Fog on Blu-ray, hopefully with a Carpenter-approved transfer, I'd be pleased.

Thank you and everyone else for the help. Since I am pretty excited about it, Ill say what it is. Its the Tyler Stout Avengers variant and I was planning on having Stan Lee autograph it at an up coming comic con in NYC. i was going to have him sign in black sharpie between Loki and the edge of the print, underneath the smaller Thor and Hulk in the open space. Then get it authenticated by PSA, then frame it, and have it as my bragging piece.

If you want to save money, rather than paying someone to verify you had it signed by Stan Lee, perhaps pay to have a photo with Stan Lee after he signs it, probably would be cheaper to do and then you would have a nice keepsake to go along with the print. You can go with black Sharpie, or perhaps Blue would look nice too.
