I thought you posted a link to those prints last month and they already sold out? Is he doing another run? I think someone here even already had theirs arrive with the sketch on the border as promised.

edit: Also I'm curious how the glow in the dark looks on these types of prints. Anyone have any experience with framing this stuff?

edit2: househead that LTROI print looks awesome. I really want to see the area you have all your prints hung up in, please don't tell me they're all in a closet somewhere

What he offered before a small window to pre-order one, as he put a small batch available for pre-orders but the main initial run it appears will go on sale tomorrow (Friday July 6th between 9am and 10am pacific time). Unlike a Mondo drop, when you add one to your cart, it should stay there during the entire check-out process. So for those that missed out, check out that link as Mark is making available the standard, and the variant, and I believe a few other editions (sketched, etc).

Unsure if prices will come down, but perhaps the more that get posted online for sale, the more competitive the prices will become.

That Return of the King poster is pretty nice! I think I like the regular over the variant more, though both are crazy expensive!

I doubt you will see the same artist do prints for the first two LOTR films, but hey, you never know. Based on what I read, this will be a new series of prints for all three films, from multiple artists. I would not be surprised if we see one by Ansin, Stout, Taylor, etc.

I would love it if they got into the print business, even if they just did little "REPRINT" in the bottom corner or something. I don't have any desire to own them as collector's pieces of art, but would like the images to display.

Mondo has stated they won't do reprints, because it takes away from the fact that they are limited editions. A few years ago MovieGoods was selling reprints of some of the Mondo prints under their site and their sister site MoviePosterShop of Stout's Iron Man 2, Scott Pilgrim and a few others, but I believe after they tried getting away with it a second time, they got a cease-and-decist from Mondo. The things they try to get away with is mind-boggling, glad Mondo went after them.

While the Iron Giant Mondo print sold out in seconds (no surprise) at 9am pacific time, the Walking Dead prints by Mark have not yet gone on sale, so for those interested, this is the hour they will drop (see my previous post from yesterday for more details).

I can confirm the Dark Knight Rises IMAX poster is legit. Sydney IMAX said they were out now so it's not a Midnight only poster.

UGH I was sitting right here and refreshing, and looked at a 3 minute video in between clicks.

Keep checking the site because remember the prints will sit in a person's cart and I think eventually they may drop off, or if someone changes their mind, they may release it. It would not surprise me if people put them in their cart and then run to eBay to see how they are selling and if they aren't selling high enough, some people may decide not to go through with their purchase and my guess is the print would go back up on the site, so keep trying for the next 15-30 minutes or perhaps throughout the day just in case one pops back up. With Mondo when you add it to your cart, it doesn't mean anything, they can sell out with one still in a cart, but with the Big Cartel site, if you have it in your cart, even though it may say "sold out", if it's in your cart you should be able to get it.

Yeah I didn't think it would be a midnight release print, studios have in the past done an exclusive IMAX style poster, especially Warner Brothers. They have done IMAX exclusive posters for Watchmen, Inception, Where the Wild Things Are, and others. So this will mean that for the film, there were two advance styles made, one final style, and one IMAX exclusive style for those out there trying to collect them all.

No I mean people in general, including others here who may still be trying to get one but aren't posting here. Those that initially got the print in their carts have 30 minutes it states to complete the check-out process, after that, they risk losing the print so if people are still trying for one, they could still have a chance about 30 minutes after they first went on sale when some people may not have completed the check-out for various reasons.

I was able to grab one so there are still some out there.

I'm kind of excited it sold out so quickly, I didn't think there'd be such high demand for it so I feel like I really got something special.
