I hate the idea of them being rolled up, but flattening them take so much time.
I really wanna take good care of them but i don't know how to do so.. What do you guys do??

Thanks in advance.

oh, and i have like 150 + posters that the manager at the movie theater lets me take as much as i want. I usually take like 15 at a time.
I have a similar amount and have them stored, rolled. I have them stored about 70 in a box (I have some nice Sideshow collectibles cardboard boxes that they shipped me the statues in that work great!). I have them in Uline poster tubing and I have them number and inventoried in an excel sheet. Works pretty good and doesn't take up more than 4' wide of space.

Here's a quick shot of the DKR print framed up.

I dropped by the framer's this morning to check on my DKR print only to find out they drymounted it. I got physically ill. Then they glued the matte that I chose on the top it too. So disgusted right now. There was just a temp worker there today so I have to wait til Monday to talk to the owner. The worker said the owner is good about resolving these kinds of situations, but I'm not sure what solution really makes anything better.

You'll have to get him to pay for a new one on eBay. That's what I would demand. I'm glad I have been using the same framer for 15 years and I don't have to worry about that kind of issue. I would lose my mind if they ruined something that was more difficult to get.

Display the one they ruined, and store the undamaged original print in a flat folder.

Picked up a few awesome JAWS prints this afternoon at JAWSFEST on Martha's Vineyard. Artist Paul McPhee was there to sign them...

Plus, got Greg Nicotero to sign my Walking Dead poster!

I bought the larger version of "THE GREAT CHASE", but I'm sure it won't be a cheap proposition to frame!

That's the print I'm on the fence about... I might snag it. Thinking it would look great with a blue matting and a gray frame.

Those Jaws prints are sweet... I really really like the The Great Chase as well, if I didn't pick up Danny Miller's "Amity Bound" I would be all over that.

http://www.20eyesco.com/content/amity-bound

As it is I can't justify wall space for 2 Jaws prints. I must say though I am pretty excited to pick up the blu ray on Tuesday.

grooveska - That's terrible news... so sorry to hear that

TRASHSTAR - Thanks for the pic on the frame job. I'm trying to think of a way to bring some more colour to my framing. I want to see if I can find a matte the same colour as the paper, with so little colour to work with in the print, this is going to be a tough one to frame.

Did you remind them to not drymount it or was that ever brought up? It's always important to tell a framer not to drymount from the very beginning because framers tend to go ahead and do it regardless not understand the collectibility of the item being framed. If you told him not to do it, and he did it, then he clearly owes you a new one. If the discussion never came up, then it is possible he may take issue with your complaint, but in the end, you should win that battle, and hopefully you reminded him not to drymount it.

My Mondo TDK poster looks a little bit different from the picture which was posted. Is there anything I can do?

What does "a little bit different" mean?

I suspect he means the stock image looks different color-wise than what he received. That is normal, the standard edition has more of a blue tint to it. I believe Mondo state that some were printed lighter than others, honestly I didn't follow it, once I sold mine, I stopped tracking any info on it.

Yes, that is correct. The color is a little bit different.

The stock image they used when they marketed the print featured more black for Batman, but that wasn't the case when they printed it. Since the variant was the same as the standard (only difference to my knowledge was the size and the fact that they were limited to 150 I think and sold only at SDCC with Moss there to sign them), they could have used the variant image as the stock image, and the standard, but this is just me speculating.

I didn't mention it specifically like I should have, but I did emphasize that it was a very collectible print and that I wanted to maintain and preserve its collect-ability and value. That and I had been in before getting estimates and had mentioned no drymounting in those other discussions.

I think at this point I would settle for the cost of replacing the print deducted from the framing price. We'll see. Just glad it is this print and not one my other prints.

Well I thought the poster was going to arrive on the Thursday. Turns out it came this morning. No ticket. #3032. It appears to be one of the darker prints, the mouth is barely visible.

I'm going to have a better look as well as snap some photos.
