HOLY CRAP. This new Mark Englert Back to the Future is awesome.
He has been putting out some nice work lately especially with glow in the dark. He stated that the car is metallic as well.

I KNEW this would happen if I bought that Lucky Star print I have to get my hands on at least one of those since getting both in APs will be damn near impossible.

Which one do you guys think is better? I know they are both exactly the same minus the silhouette and sign change

Again, as I mentioned in a PM, don't simply rely on eBay as the "one all" when it comes to movie posters. eBay is a haven for originals, reprints, bootlegs/counterfiets, not just for posters, but nearly every other collectible out there. eBay is not the all knowing place to sell, there are other options such as Amazon to consider. While there are legit poster dealers and private sellers on eBay, there are also people who simply get a poster from time to time from a theater to sell, there are people who work at a theater and sell, and there are those who are given posters to sell for friends but in most cases none of these people, with the exception of someone who knows the poster industry be it a poster dealer, or a collector who has been in it for awhile, who really know what they are doing. Again as I mentioned before, condition, description, and packaging are key, and so many don't know how to get those three aspects of it right.
Do you know anyone that has an excellent conditon Moon poster starring Sam Rockwell? I would love to get that one.

Thank you!

Original quads can be difficult to find here in the USA, there are some poster dealers in the UK who offer them but they can be difficult to get as well. I used to carry them long ago but they were just too hard to get. I think the only one I kept was the original for The Crow, which was pretty awesome looking, and lots of reprints exist with fuzzy credits. The imagery is completely different than the U.S. styles that were done. One of these days I will post a photo here of it.

The only quad I've bought was from ebay. The packaging was great and the price was fair. It came from overseas from this seller:

Hey if they start selling the new posters, will they be listed first in the shop, or on the front page?

Some sites charge $25-$35 for a "reprint" and in many cases, if a poster is a new release, you can get an original for the same price. While I am not anti-reprint, it would be baffling to me why someone would want a reprint over an original if they could get it for the same price or within a few dollars? But that is not always the case, especially for older titles. So before you confirm a purchase online for a reprint, check what originals are going for, or ask here, and people help you out. Why not have an original that will appreciate in value than a reprint that won't?

But if you want classic movies, or older titles, a reprint is the way to go. Sites that sell reprints such as MovieGoods, MoviePosterShop, PopCultureGraphics, all of whom are believed to the same dealer under multiple site names, I have heard and read numerous comments about how their reprints are blotchy and of poor quality. MoviePoster.com sells originals and reprints, not sure what the quality is of their reprints, I believe one of our fellow members, Zero Cool, can vouch more for them. You can try sites like Art.com, and others who sell reprints, some licensed, and of course, some who don't.

Frame-wise, you can try Micheal's Arts and Crafts stores or Aaron Brothers Framing. They both tend to have coupons in the Sunday newspaper ad sections each week or every other week too.

By the way everyone, this thread has reached 200 pages now. Congrats all!

Honestly I would love original posters but for the most part I tend to buy posters of older movies like Conan the Barbarian and getting originals of those in good quality for a reasonable price is not happening.

So you recommended Movieposter.com for reprints and originals. Are there any other places you can recommend getting posters?

And if the plexiglass on your movie poster is damaged do you know of places where you can get replacements, I am gonna try lowes but it's always good to have a plan B incase it doesn't work out there.

200? I'm kidding

The standard is from the first time the delorean goes into the past, the variant is the second time it goes into the past much later in the movie. In the print the differences are subtle, with the name of the mall changing from twin pines to lone pine because Marty runs over one of the pines while in the past and then the other change is that Marty is actually standing next to the sign in the variant and not present in the standard.

The artist blogs about the print here:

You should sign-up for his newsletter, you'll get the latest information on when his AP's go on sale.

I am working online, when the prints go up on Mondo's site, I will post here, might help people who aren't signed in. I suspect they will go on sale within the next 10 minutes to 20 minutes (between 9:42am and 9:52am pacific time) which is just a guess on my part.

No idea on prices on those, that white style I had never seen before, but I believe the film had a small following and someone may pick that up just for being unique. I think those posters were only produced single-sided, I don't believe any double-sided ones were made for that film.

Default BTTF & Adventure Times are UP Now!

Mondo's BTTF and Adventure Times prints are up for sale this very moment so good luck to those trying for one. If this post helped someone get one, that would be super cool and I will have done my good deed for the day.

Wow, I called it, they went on sale at 9:52am which fell in my window of time. I think I need to buy some lottery tickets today. As of 9:56am BTTF has sold out, as as the Adventure Time variant. I noticed that it was pretty relaxed, if people really wanted the variant for BTTF they probably could have gotten it within the first minute to two minutes at least. The standard took a few more minutes but overall, fans should be pleased as they didn't sell out in five seconds. Mark did a great job on the print, hopefully some people here were able to get one.

Variant was up for a bit, but sold out now, standard is now sold out. I grabbed a BTTF standard.

I appreciate it! I could have had the regular version buy passed. I have to be very picky on what posters I want in my HT. How I wish I could have gotten one of those Avenger posters =(
