Official movie poster for the movie/Documentary "I Am Bruce Lee" that came out earlier this year. The Poster was made available for purchase in March 2012. Currently worth what someone will pay for it as it is pre-owned.

A New Copy of the Poster can be obtained Here for $20.

Oh I would... I treat the two quite separately, if I like the artwork I'm interested in the print, Looper is a great example, I'd very much like a copy but I didn't rush out to TIFF here in town to see the movie.

I've got a number of prints in my collection where I haven't seen the movie but really like the print, Swamp Thing and Captain America being two examples.

Understandable!

Sometimes, even if I love the art, and disliked the movie, I still won't even consider purchasing it.

That being said, I have a feeling I'm going to enjoy this movie...

Could anyone tell me more about Mondo?

Is it simply a case of waiting for it to release and then buying?
Whats the best way to get info on release times etc? Twitter?
Is there no signup just enter card details Quick as possible?
How long does a "Good" poster last for?
How many copies are made?
And why is there a Limited Edition , surely they will get alot more money?

Thanks

Twitter for the news on what day the posters will be released. They usually say a 'random time', but that random time is typically between 11:30 - 12:30EST in my experience, though on occasion they have gone on sale around 9:00AM EST and sometimes well after 1:00PM EST. They also tweet when the poster goes up for sale, but if you wait for that tweet you will likely not get one. You pretty much need to be online refreshing the page and hope it shows up.
Is there no signup just enter card details Quick as possible?
You need an account with Mondo, you can register at any time, but it is recommended you register BEFORE the day you want to buy something. Then you can pay with paypal or CC, but paypal will add time to the purchase, time that you likely won't have and you will miss out.
How long does a "Good" poster last for?
Quite literally seconds, I'd say < 60 depending on how many they have for sale.
How many copies are made?
Run sizes differ on each print, big ones like Avengers and pretty much any Stout could have 600+ for the standard and 300+ for the variant, while smaller/less "popular" titles may be in the range of 200 - 300 on a standard and < 100 on a variant.
And why is there a Limited Edition , surely they will get alot more money?
Because they just are. Justin from Mondo has done numerous interviews that can be found online where he discusses this topic. Sometimes the movie studio might play a role in how many are produced... but in general, these are collectible items produced in limited quantities to keep them collectible.
Thanks

@MondoNews is the one you want.

Right now on the site they are between $35 and $75. I'd say the $35 ones are on the low side, standards are usually in the $50 range, variants are usually in the $75 range but then Struzan prints have been in the $200+ range I believe, don't recall exactly. As well the occasional variant was printed on wood or metal and those have been $100+ range as well.

I'd say $50 - $75 + shipping is a fair average though.

As far as I know the largest print Mondo does is a 24x36", though I could be wrong

Skyfall has a new 'UK' poster according to IGN. Looks good! Though do they really need to start adding 'Find us on Facebook' to Movie Posters?

I do believe The Best Worst Movie was 27x40, not sure if that was a Mondo release or not though and maybe it was only the litho's that were 27x40, I've got one and it is certainly 27x40, I will NEVER frame that thing, I can't stand it

I agree with CdnBlu, the 'standard' seems to be 24x36, though there are plenty that different sizes too, usually in a different aspect ratio though. They've even done a coffin shaped one. I believe the Ansin Dracula variant was coffin shaped

There is just something about the Bond poster's I like. Though I do prefer when they ladies are in them:

movieposter.com had a Bond exhibit a while back, it was really cool to see the variety of posters from all the films in one place.

Roar if you liked that particular style, you would love the domestic bus shelter version, which is roughly 40x60 in size, and double-sided just like the one-sheet. Not only did they make the three domestic style movie posters for Quantum of Solace but they made three bus shelter styles featuring the same artwork as well.

I believe Stout was commissioned to do the actual movie poster artwork for The Best Worst Movie, thus the 27x40 inch size, I don't believe Mondo was involved at all with it so technically I don't think it would be considered a "Mondo Print". I don't believe Mondo offers prints larger than 24x36 inches and I think the highest number of a print produced was the Star Wars Trilogy Stout standard prints which had 850 of each produced. I don't really classify the Olly Moss DKR print as "limited" in the sense of the word since it was a 24-hour window and orders were based on how many were received.

Yeah Mondo has done some odd-shaped ones such as the Ansin Dracula variant, as well as wood-variants and metal-variants too, but they have not done a metal variant since Iron Man 2 by Stout and that was back in June 2010. Mondo did say they would never ship metal prints again, so any future ones will be difficult if they go that route again.

I wonder if that includes the posts that were lost to the db/server outage. There was almost months of posts gone when that happened.

From this thread choose Search This Thread above, then choose Advanced Search from the fly out. Then type your user name in the User Name input box and then note the Showing results 1 to 25 of x. Where x is your total posts in the thread.

It's easier to click on the number in the column "Replies" on the subforum's thread overview. The result is a list like this.
