Some of you probably heard me mention this earlier, but the good news is that for those of you who can't make it, I will have 10 AP's available for sale... 5 of which I'm going to sell on here... I'm guessing they will be around $50-60 shipped for CONUS

All proceeds benefit two local non-profits. Obviously, the print will be under wraps until after the event, so more info to come!

I'm really excited to see the print... the event is still so far away it must be killing you!

I decided that I'm going to sell my 'flawed' Variant and hunt down a mint copy. Whalen's never seem to sky rocket in the secondary market, so that should help me in obtaining a mint copy

Hopefully there is people out there that aren't as OCD as myself
Before you go selling it, you may want to do your research as that issue you noticed on yours could be on all of them, so you would be selling something to rebuy it later and have the same issue. If you are selling it because some specks of light blue were in the dark blue area, that could be because when they produced them it occurred on all of them. These are made by hand screen pulled, I have been fortune enough to watch them make prints at D&L a few years ago, it was really quite fun and a unique thing to see how the process is.

But this issue that you perceive as a flaw could be on ALL the variants. You may want to contact Mondo and ask with them and perhaps see if you can send photos to them or ask others who have the same print on eBay and ask them to check their copies just in case. If it is on all of them, then it won't affect any value, because it was a printer issue, and when it is something that affects ALL made, it isn't considered a flaw.

I'm not sure if anyone has seen the Topps Star Wars Galaxy Series 7 cards where they reproduced 9 prints from the Mondo Star Wars series or not but I picked up the Moss set and I think they are pretty cool. No way I was ever going to dish out the $3k it would cost for the full size versions so these itty bitty versions will have to do the trick

Here is the link I bought them from, they have them listed with best offer:

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

So I offered $15 rather than $25 and the seller accepted. I'm not really into card collecting so I suppose its entirely likely I got jobbed and these things are only worth a couple of bucks... regardless I think they will look neat all framed up and they are 'legit' reprints if that matters to anyone.

While it is best to take the photos that you are doing, I would just put up one big list and have people contact you for images which you can then attach to an email and send them them. Would make it less time consuming for you as well. Just my two cents....
I am only going to post 5-6 posters at a time and when one sells i will take the pictures down and put up a new poster.... If someone wants to see a certain poster i will send it through email....

Of course! I won't leave out our neighbors to the north... I just purchased 10 spanking new Yazoo Mills tubes, so these things will be shipped out MINTY FRESH

You have no idea! Funny thing is, I'm already planning the next one in the Spring, so I'm keeping myself busy to say the least.

Good point - and as a side note, these prints will also contain the AP marking.

Looks good, glad to see Jock doing work for them, I think he captured it pretty nicely. So far the reviews I have read on the film are giving it around a 5-6 out of 10, which would place it better than the Stallone version from many years ago, but overall, the film will probably be a rental for me.

That's what I was thinking. When I first unrolled it the kraft paper was all wrinkled, which led me to believe the poster was rolled too tight. I quickly unrolled it and checked it over. No creases. Then I spotted that spot.

I'm going to contact Mondo this evening I think once I get off work to see if any other Variants had this issue. The only picture I could find that appears to be perfect was taken from Mondos Blog. Link is HERE

Here is the photo I pulled. It appears the legs are completely filled through, but again unless you're right up close, you probably won't see it.

Nice! What's this rectangle on the upper corners? Would be neater without these IMHO.

That is the "Star Wars Galaxy" foil mark found on every card, perhaps an attempt to thwart reproduction? I'm going to hit up Ikea this week to see if I can find a trip 2.5"x3.5" frame. Those have to be cheaper than frames for the 24x36 prints.

I'm going to guess no... there does seem to be a level of embossing on them, so if you got the foil off I'd bet you'd be left with the mark anyway. I remember when I collected cards when I was young you could actually erase the surface right off of the original Upper Deck cards leaving white behind, but I'm not sure you could do that here... and I'm not going to try

To be honest though, there are certainly high enough resolution images on web of these posters where you could print a quality picture on some card stock and come up with the same result I have here... not that I would think that is a particularly good idea... but I'm just saying.

I'm glad my little reprints are 'legit'

Google it I found it earlier...the picture is flipped...instead of laying horizontal it now goes vertical and Superman flies right out the roof...pretty cool but not enough for me to bite...

I don't mind it, I did prefer the print in landscape though.

Not Bad. Not Bad. Not sure if it's worthy of me fighting for though

I would like to add Hoth to my collection eventually. 12x36 I believe, Artists name is on the tip of my tongue.

Guys,

Looking to buy a lightbox to accommodate a double sided 27x40.

Mostly looking to know what should be the size of the lightbox (should it be 30x40?), whether there is a preferred type of lighting and any negatives that would arise from a certain condition (maybe ultraslim profile damages the poster). Also which are the preferred retailers/websites for this.

Thanks, I appreciate any bits of wisdom.
