roar nice pickups on those SW cards. Neat way of displaying the art without putting a hurtin' on the wallet.

I just bought a 27 x 40 light box from this dealer http://www.ebay.com/itm/120489602231...84.m1439.l2649

Hopefully you will find what you are looking for.....

MovieFanatic2010 and Adam_WM, thanks a lot. This seems like a no bs retailer. Plus both of you guys have actual theater rooms and they are both amazing!

I would also like to know this.

MovieFanatic2010, the lightbox in your link has only 2 bulbs. Saw your lightbox for the Watchmen, which looks glorious, what model is that? Led or bulbs?

I made that Light Box myself for about $60. It does a good job lighting posters but changing them is a pain in the a$$... I have basically kept my Watchmen poster in there since i built it... I have come across a lot of Original movie posters so i wanted a real Light Box .....Now i will be able to change them when ever i wanted without worrying about damaging them... I think the 2 bulbs is going to be perfect for my small theater.... The 4 bulbs are more for commercial use.

I went with 4 bulbs. I spoke back and forth a bit with the owner of the site, Jon Lewis, and suggested going with 4.

This was his response:
"We dont charge anything extra from a mark up standpoints. Its just going to get you 2 extra bulbs, 4 more lampholders and an electronic ballast to power them. The extra lighting is very noticeable in how smooth it is over the surface area. I always advise doing it. Its just a better quality fixture and more light never hurts because it is the light diffuser behind the poster that still allows the light to pass through, just in more places. Thanks"

I can vouch that the 4 bulbs are great and worth it. I would imagine with 2 bulbs you would get vastly varied light that will be especially noticeable with solid color posters (those with a lot of white especially). Even with 4, I can see the slightly varied lighting behind the white posters on the edges.

I dinged the poster frames when they were being mounted and the paint color is a stock Home Depot color so it's an easy fix.

In my gallery, you can see some of my posters lit/unlit. Pardon my crappy digital camera.

P.S. Can somebody submit a rating or two for my poster gallery (if you like them, that is)? Somebody got mad at me last month and trolled my ratings for my theater and poster gallery. LOL

I did change the bulb wattage in my 5 x 25 mylars light boxes and it made a world of difference.... If i find the light box to be to dull maybe i will up the wattage... I am sure it will be bright enough as is... I do not want it to be to bright as the light box will be right next to my Projection screen and i do not want to dull my picture. I guess i will find out when it arrives next week.

I've got 4 bulbs in mine too, I haven't tried only 2 bulbs in it to see if there is much of a difference though to be honest.

I rated your gallery's... don't let the trolls bother you, haters are gonna hate I got a lower than average rating the other day and that's the way it goes in public forums, you can't please everyone, only other option is to turn the ratings off.

Anyone interested in the adventure times poster (mondo)? It's the cheaper 45 dollar one (without shipping). I didn't want to buy it, but placed a panic order when all the others were sold out.

Can't cancel the order .

You can have it at cost price, which is 65 dollars (45 dollar for the poster + I had to pay 20 dollars for P&P since I live in Europe).

I'd say you are getting the best advice you can getting it from him and it makes sense to me. My back lit box is in a hallway, not actually in the theatre so the logic sounds good to me.

This is for the River City Theater lightboxes, correct? Does that imply that I can ask them to put more bulbs on a specific model, like the one that MovieFanatic posted which had 2? That would totally rock.

+1 to the poster ratings, didn't know there was a poster tab on top. Still new to the site.

Film was re-released in theaters with about five to six minutes removed (the more graphical scenes) in early 2005, that was the poster for it.
