On eBay actually, from a seller named tabby7. Lots of cool unique styles in any size you want since they're hand-made. I think I paid 55 shipped for both of this frames. Highly recommended for those odd-size Mondo prints.

Plexi pane and cardboard backing though, so I really need some acid-free backing at some point.

Wow, what an awesome week...

Dropped of my JAWS print that I got from JAWSFEST this summer at AC MOORE. The guy was nice enough to give me 61% off + another 10% ... got it framed with museum glass for $122. NICE.

Today, I swung by my friendly neighborhood movie theater friend and got 27x40 originals of:
RISE OF THE GUARDIANS (final)
The Hobbit (Bilbo poster)
Cloud Atlas (character version)
Wreck It Ralph (final -- I think)
Les Miserables (Cosette poster)

Also picked up (from another contact) Skyfall, Zero Dark Thirty, and Looper.

NICE.

The frame job looks great and suits the imagery of that print perfectly.

That looks amazing! I want that print so bad...might have to break down and just pay the $100+ and get it.

Not really a Movie Poster, but found it at a local art's store on clearance, thought it would be perfect outside my HT. I can put a couple of 4x6 pictures of the Family in it

And of course the "Blockbuster" Painted Movie Portraits. (You can click my HT Gallery for more views of them)

My Looper Mondo Poster came today.
I have not opened it yet, as i am waiting for my frame to arrive.
It looks very well packaged as it is in a large tube and it seems very strong.

My Courier left it on my doorstep and i am not happy about this but im glad nobody took it.

Once its up ill take some pictures.

No need to wait for the frame. I'd recommend taking the print out now and flattening it. It can take a while to flatten a print and it is best to put a print in a frame that is flat to help reduce potential waves, especially on a big print like looper.

And to add what Roar said, when you have it framed make sure you tell the framer doing the work NOT to dry mount it. Doing so will make the print worthless and remove any value from it since you would altering it's original state. Just have it framed loosely between the glass and the backing of the frame, so potentially you could remove and roll it back up if need be. Dry-mounting is a permanent process, and with the print being a limited edition, you want to preserve it as much as possible.

You're up early Kinsella... shouldn't you still be sleeping?

I went to bed about 10pm last night and got up to close a window as it had gotten rather cold last night, despite the fact that we have had some incredibly nice weather here in Seattle for the past three to four months. I decided to check some emails, etc. Went back to bed, now time to go grab some Blu-rays today.

Sit on it

You know what though, it isn't something I know a whole lot about, I usually put it in my portfolio and then wait. I believe others have said in the past they use books? I'm not sure, this would be another good section for the FAQ we are going to write Hopefully others will chime in with their techniques.

I got my Looper last week. I looked at it (looks great) but have kept it in the tube. That won't hurt it will it? I think I will wait till someone gives a concrete answer on how to flatten them before I do so.

I dont think it matters to much.
I Havent flattened anything before , my posters normally just fit in snap frames.

I Have laid it flat on the floor,
put a pile of CDs on each corner.
And some dumbbells it the middle of each end.
