Also I saw what you ment, roar, about the timed release version of TDKR and SDCC.
Don't overpay for the timed release of TDKR, honestly $50 max is what you should pay on that and ideally you'd ask for pictures first, there was a range of quality with the printing of that release with some prints having his mouth almost blacked out.

So, everything i'm looking for should be on EB?
Thanks... be warned custom framing can often cost more than the print! A triple matte like that one cost me almost $200 and that was from a discount framer I found on craigslist!

The JP is actually hanging in my office now, not in the theatre. This hobby can get really addictive, I've got 5 other prints in the other room with cheap frames, I sold a number of prints recently I didn't think I'd ever get around to framing and I've still got 5 or 6 others sitting in a portfolio to be framed.... and I'm pretty much still a novice in this hobby!!! Never mind the growing collection of double sided movie poster's I've got squirreled away

Yeah i'm not overpaying for any of the prints i want. I'll definitely be trying to get reasonable deals.

Custom framing really is expensive i know. That's why when i'm ready to do one i'll wait on the coupons michaels has pretty much every week. I was going to custom frame my Back To the Future poster but i thought close to $200 (i think it was actually more than that, i forget) for a $16 reprint was kind of pointless. So i just got a $20 frame. Same for my Watchmen poster. Which is actually a $50 double sided original. I want to change both to wood frames though. I like the look of wood. I want to mat them also (wouldn't that be custom? lol). I also have my Spoke Art Robocop print that i got from comic con that's still sealed that i want to custom frame http://store.spoke-art.com/collectio...murphy-its-you

When doing a mat is it best to choose the dominant color of the picture? So for example the robocop print i would choose a blue mat?

This hobby is really addictive yes. I never thought i would pick up another one. I thought HT, movies, and video game was it. Hey, at least we're not spending our money on drugs.

Get ready to spend some money, particularly on that Blade Runner.

Personally, I've never much liked that one. It just isn't one of Stout's strongest.

I have 2 Stouts myself, Inglourious Basterds and Assault On Precinct 13. The first is starting to get more expensive now, but the 2nd inexplicably isn't. It boggles my mind however, that so many Stouts have become so expensive these days. When I bought my first one, IG (won in his lottery), back in 2009, they were mostly going for $200 - $300 which I thought was expensive, but since then, for example, Stout's The Thing has skyrocketed to approximately $2000. Sheesh.

One of these days I have to get my posters framed, but I really want to send them to Corey at Further Frames in Denver. His frame work is incredible.

Got my Halloween variant back from the framers the other day and thought I'd share with you guys. Very pleased with how it turned out.

I wanted to place an emphasis on the dark nature of the print so I had the white border framed out with a triple mat - all reverse bevel - black on orange silk on black.

The 1/8" sliver of orange really makes the leaves pop and creates an even greater 3D effect with the color.

No images are coming up for me on that site I looked at movieposter.com and they didn't have any other than the one with TIME on it, which I don't care for the look of at all. Surely there is another release for this movie somewhere... this type of question usually calls for Kinsella's expertise!

I find framing kind of a personal thing, what works for you may not work for others. Some people prefer to frame for the room the print is going in where I prefer to frame for the print the room be damned I like to pick a dominant colour myself with the top matte and try and find another subtle colour for the second matte to make things pop like Hellboy did with the orange in his where your trying to pull a colour out of the print, then the bottom matt I have shoot for the black or something that can almost frame the print within the frame kind of idea.

Then you've got to consider the core of the matte as well, I love solid core matte's like Hellboy has used but sometimes I like the contrast a white core can give like on my Stout Iron Man or James Davis Leon.

For the TDKR I'd really like to float that print, lots of people believe you destroy the value of your print when you float a print as the method involves attaching a 'hinge' to the back of the print and just letting the print hang within the frame, I figure TDKR print is likely not going anywhere in price so he may be a good piece to give this technique a go on.

So as you can see... I have no idea on advice for framing, I'm all over the place... go talk to a framer, if you use them or not doesn't matter, just go get some ideas and play with the different mattes, its fun. Just try not to cry when you see the price I know a some folks here have framed their prints themselves by ordering the supplies online and I think that is a cool way to go about it, I've really got to try to frame my own one day.

I was just joking that popped up on my amazon home page since I added jurassic park to my wish list a couple days ago. Couldn't believe it when I saw that price just for a poster.

Hey if you rreeellyyy want one- there is one on Ebay for $900

Those posters are very cool- but IMO hard to frame due to weight and thickness. BUT framed and lit properly they are very very nice.
I have a Speed Racer one that I want to hang- but these have to be back lit.

[Show spoiler]

Just on the side I really liked this vid: an FYI video: How Lenticular Posters Are Made

Others have chimed in and I will agree, the Blade Runner Stout one will be the hardest for you to get and the most expensive. The others will probably fetch a few hundred dollars, with the exception of the Olly Moss Dark Knight Rises one. That one you can find fairly cheap on eBay. It was a "timed" release which means instead of Mondo dropping a limited amount online at a random time they announced they would take orders for a 24-hour period and after that time, that determined the print run size. As you can expect, they moved a ton of the prints to satisfy demand and pretty much to make everyone who wanted one happy since it was Batman and Olly Moss, and as to be expected a good amount of them went up on eBay right when the 24 hour period was up. They only came numbered, and you can find them on eBay for under $100 as it is fairly common and easy to find. Nice print though. I believe it, along with Blade Runner are 24x36 inches, the others are smaller.

Roar pretty much nailed it, while the EB site is one of the most informative sites for prints out there, and a lot of good people on there, many of whom are helpful towards others, the for sale/wanted section is where you will find issues. A lot of people on there tend to post a print for sale, and either don't have it, or had already sold it but didn't update their ad. But on the flip side, there are people who did keep their posts current about what they have for sale and their wanted posts but it does seem that some people who have prints listed for sale from years ago have not removed their ads, having sold their prints or kept them.

And don't forget for those who have missed it...I have said before and I will say it again, if you have your Mondo prints, movie posters, or anything of value or considered a collectible, when you go to have it framed do NOT dry mount it! Regardless of what the framer says, do not let them dry mount it whatsoever, because by doing so it will devalue your print, poster, etc greatly. Simply have it loose between the glass (or plexiglass) and the backing of the frame. Whenever possible use acid-free backing and matte board if you have your piece matted. If there is a lot of sunlight that comes in, perhaps go with UV-glass (or UV-plexiglass).

I am not surprised at how the earlier Stout pieces have skyrocketed, or the earlier Ansin, and Moss pieces, etc. The Mondo craze didn't really take off until 2010, and yeah The Thing before that could have been purchased for around $500 (and I am kicking myself for not picking it up) and now $2000 is actually quite low, I have seen them fetch $2500+. A print like that, with the following that film has, the amazing artwork, and limited supply, will only continue to rise in value as more and more people get hooked to the Mondo prints. Sure, not everyone can afford it, but there are those out there who can and will drop the money to get it if they really want it. When I win the PowerBall though, I will buy buying up the prints I really want, and perhaps will help all of you out too.

Good lord, that frame job is epic Hellboy! Congratulations! Had I know you had that I would have suggested making the journey to the Calgary Fan Expo in late April, as John Carpenter is going to be a guest and have him sign that in silver ink. I am actually setting up there and just found out that I may have my booth in the actual area where the celebrity guests are, so getting over to Carpenter may be easier than originally planned for me. I have the Mark Englert Thing print he did and would love to have that signed.

The one MovieGoods is selling states "good" condition so chances are it was one they got from a theater employee or are selling it on consignment. I did a search from other dealers that I would think may have it and I drew blanks. There was another style for the film, which you can see here, which is probably what you are looking for, but unsure if actually was released. I want to think it was the final style and then the one with the reviewer quote on it came later to push the film as an Oscar contender but I can't rightly say if that is completely accurate:
