3 tubes should be arriving this week for me. A replacement Ironman 3, which, chances are will arrive in the same condition like they always do, My GoT Horkey and my Gutted Replacement. I really, REALLY wanted a Saul Bass shirt today, didn't know they would sell out in 20 minutes

I'll probably do a mystery tube giveaway for my birthday in July on EB. I've gotten...3-4 prints from 'replacements' so far, all of which were from tubes being packed wrong. So chances are I'll put em all in a tube and do a giveaway.

i agree. theres so many gallery and websites, i wonder if mods would allow a subforum or post that has upcoming exhibits/drops.

as far as the Akira it looks like i didnt save them. but heres a link to a few pics

I agree with K5, I've learned a lot from all of you how on HOW and WHERE these drops happen but I don't know all the places, posts and tweets that go around. I'm trying to keep it together but links are lovely and help a BUNCH. I will do the same on my end but I'm still a baby in the arena of rare/limited screen prints and art works.

I'm not an Akira fan but WOW that metal version IS NICE. I'd buy it just for looks. Smokin!

We might be able to make a thread with updates. Keep it bare but with links and dates/times.

The last two I attempted to get on dropped between 850 -905. Its tough to give sccurate start time but id start F5ing around 840 to be safe

Thanks, this will be my first attempt at a Mondo release... the numbers look to be a fair size for AoD so hopefully I can snag one.

If my memory serves me correctly I believe the studio had sent out originals folded to various comic book stores for them to promote the film. Sometimes it's easier for them to simply fold them and ship them flat than go through the trouble of shipping, and expense, of shipping them rolled. There are rolled originals out there, but I somehow remember folded ones being sent out mainly for promotional purposes and to save on costs.

For the first Crow film, there are NO double-sided originals out there because they simply don't exist. Another poster dealer disputed that, but when questioned to show proof, he couldn't. That is because Miramax Pictures at the time was known to put out some really small films, and they simply were not putting out anything double-sided. Pulp Fiction and The Crow were two of their first major hits, and soon after they switched to double-sided, I believe started with The English Patient. So if anyone claims to have double-sided Crow or Pulp Fiction posters, then they don't know what they are talking about, and peddling fakes.

Some mondo hints. Hit f5 constantly. Create an account. Fill it stay logged in. Use google chrome with your auto fill in. Store your cc too. Paying with PayPal means more typing and more chances of your cart being snagged. I think with the autofill you will still need to put the phone number in once.

They are just online pieces, not actual posters. Studios do that a lot, but the problem is, they design them in a way that websites report them as "posters" and then everyone assumes they are. This has been going on for a while too, films like Dark Knight Rises, Sherlock Holmes 2, tons of films. But when it comes down to it, officially, there are only three posters for Star Trek's domestic release. There could be some different international styles, but the character ones you saw at the link above aren't "posters".

Again, not sure who "Drakes" is or what "HCG" stands for. That is why a link to where people see these would help others who may have missed or not noticed it. There are a lot of screenprints that go under the radar for other screenings around the country, everyone knows Mondo, but they aren't the only one doing screen prints, just the most well known. Thanks for the info though, I will Google about that Akira metal and see what comes up.

That is the domestic final, and is VERY hard poster indeed to find, especially double-sided.

Only official 11x17 for Star Trek that I know of is of the final style movie poster artwork.

Instead of a giveaway, perhaps list each print, and donate the monies you get it to a charity, etc.
