Wait, so Mondo is not offering all the prints at the same time, but staggering them out over time? How much time? A few minutes? Hours? Interesting, it's kind of like concert tickets, many people the best tickets are the first ones offered, and that isn't the case, sometimes several minutes later if a show doesn't completely sell out that is, you can get really good seats, better than what was offered when the tickets first went on sale.

Didn't think Mondo would be doing this, but if they are, it does perhaps increase the collector's odds more so than the resellers odds in getting one.

As far as I know they did it for TWBB and for Man of Steel today. I wasn't around my home PC today unfortunately, just a work computer.

I wanted a MoS Metal but there's no way it would have made my wall. I would have used it for trade bait towards a Django Wood or perhaps something Stout I need to get. I've given up on a Drive Cityscape Metal.

Curious if they sold all of their allotment today, or if they will continue to offer some even later into the evening. I would have assumed they would have had at least 75-100 of those up for sale and chances are many would have hit eBay but only about eight or nine are on there, so I was thinking that maybe not all have been offered or maybe they will sneak a few in over the weekend during the timed release event. There is no rule that says they can't do that though so maybe they will do just that.

Would you day that all the frames should match if they are in the same room or on the same wall? I started off by matching my first three prints with the same frame as I like to symmetrical bit now that got five new ones to frame and two of them are the Manev Noir series I'm thinking changing the frames would be better.

Unless you are going to live at your current residence forever and never paint the walls or change the decor I would always recommend to fame for the picture and not its surroundings.

If it is a piece that is literally going up to take space up on a wall and its sole purpose is to match the decor and you wouldn't care one way or the other if it came with you if you moved then maybe I'd frame otherwise.

That's my opinion though... I imagine you'd get a different one from an interior designer though

I'd say you can't go wrong with either. Seen it done both ways and I'd say go with whatever is most aesthetically pleasing to you. Roar is right, there's probably some design principals that contradict it.

Do you have photoshop? You could create your wall in there and mock up the frame ideas for each version and put it together. Wouldn't be too hard to do, just time consuming.

ALIEN and ALIENS by Gutierrez came in today. Both are run of 100 each.
Also Alduin's Wall Litho is on the way. Time to buy some frames.

I'm debating on picking up a 2nd Man of Steel Ansin just in case. I dunno.

Ordered an Ansin Man of Steel today. Watched the movie and knew I had to have it. If I had known how the scene from Taylor's print was used in the movie I would have gone for it. Oh well. Hope everyone gets a chance to see MoS.

Looks like my folks and I are going to go tomorrow, got the $50 Fandango gift card so it entitles me to a free MoS ticket, theater will be packed but its going to be a good time.

Agreed. I hope he does the entire series (totally look forward to Alien 3, Alien Resurrection and Prometheus) since it would be an entire matching set. I love the ALIEN one since it has a full background, don't get me wrong I love the Queen (she is not done enough) but I wish there was a background to her. These are both 2-color I believe grey/gray and white.

What a bunch of crap that was. Got all the way to the last stage of checkout and GONE!!

The whole process was like 20 seconds, seriously. Total waste of time and just reaffirmed why I don't participate in Mondo drops anymore. The whole "at a random time" is so ridiculous now. Just set a time for Christs sake. Crap sells in under a minute regardless. Why make us waste half a day?
