Are you familiar with the Limited Edition World War Z posters?
Amazon says they're limited to 1000 each and numbered, but the stock for some of the posters doesn't change? Still 999 available, doesn't seem right especially because they're available on 2 other sites as well..

Holy crap this week may have broken my bank with SDCC. I believe my poster buddy scored the Kilian Terminator, JC Prometheus, Jock The Thing variant, Both Englerts. He's still trying for tomorrow's Englert and maybe the Elsyium one.

Personally didn't see any Mondo stuff from SDCC that I felt compelled to go on the aftermarket for. I did like the Moss Spirited Away and Ansin Elysium however and may try for the regulars whenever Mondo drops those in the next few weeks.

Does anybody else think the whole fine art/limited edition print movement is getting a little out of control?

As in? Too many prints? Bigger? Harder to get? Cheaper quality?

Does anyone know where I can get a list of movie posters that are in the public domain/can be freely printed?

I've been meaning to get some custom acoustic panels done with movie poster prints, but most of the art I want to use is licensed.

Way too many prints. It seems that everyone and their brother is doing prints now. Check out bottleneck gallery's site and they have a boatload of stuff from their shows, a lot of it doesn't sell out. Mondo is putting out posters every week it seems. It's crazy!

Is an implosion near? I don't think so, but clearly there are a number of companies that want to be like Mondo and are getting into the print business. That isn't a bad thing either, but some artists tend to be Mondo-exclusive per say. Mondo making some of their SDCC only available via that pre-sale helps lessen people getting them and flipping them, but does mean that you have to actually go to SDCC to get them, and getting tickets to that is 100 times more difficult that getting a Mondo print when they drop. I think though that some fans are burned out, which means it potentially could mean a slightly increased chance of getting a print you want when they drop.

Yea there definitely is an increase of Galleries selling pop culture items. Most I see is fan art and items I'm not to into. I'm pretty selective in what I want my house to be decorated with so the numerous shows and exhibits don't interest me to much. I do wish there were more licensed shows like Mondo so we have more opportunities for some amazing billed and credited posters.
