![]() Two small town theatres near me also have the white Maleficent poster that's going for $64.99 on movieposter.com but I've never seen that movie and not a fan of that poster. |

I was also able to FINALLY find the Abduction poster I wanted of the home video release.
![]() But USPS damaged it ![]() ![]() The poster was bent towards the middle so there's a few wrinkles going down vertically, sadly. I told the buyer about it and that I hung it up already but he offered me a full refund and said it's happened before. It actually doesn't look too bad in a frame. You have to really examine it to notice the few wrinkles but if you glance at it real quick you can't see the damage. ![]() If I'm lucky enough to find another one though I'll definitely buy it. |

I have a quick question regarding a poster I purchased on eBay and received today. I recently got into collecting theater posters so my knowledge on them is very limited. Basically I'm wondering if the poster I received today is actually an official theater poster. It seems to be not as thick as my other posters. Do theater posters come ib different thicknesses? It does look very good, detailed, and is double sided. The poster is of Desolation of Smaug with Gandalf smoking his pipe with the other characters in the background if that helps any. Any information on the subject would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Guys, check your Regal Cinemas...mine was giving away stacks of both the Advance and Final Dawn of the Planet of the Apes posters. Both are 27x40 double sided posters. My cinema had stacks of them so it seems to be a Regal promo thing.

What's with the jump to 800pts for a poster... they did the same thing with the Captain America shield poster. With their poor shipping that is getting kind of rich, I'll take my chances with e-bay at 800pts. I asked for a second Malificent poster as I wasn't happy with the first and it came in worse shape.

Hey guys, I have two questions. The first one is: For the last couple of years, I have been buying poster frames from Michael's. Although they have been nice, in the past year or so, they have seemed to have become rather "cheaply" made. These aren't the ones with the bigger borders. So, I was wondering if there is company that sells poster frames, that might be on the expensive side, but are really durable and keep movie posters in great condition?
My second question is: I have had movie posters that have been hung in the basement of my house. The basement is a tad moist, so I noticed the posters have "wrinkled" and "creased" a bit. I was wondering if those creases/ wrinkles are permanent, or that they can be corrected by rolling them up and putting them back into the tubes?? Thanks! |

For your second question I would say the wrinkles and more from gravity pulling your poster down underneath the plexi of your cheap frames. Yes, the moisture could cause wrinkles but I'm inclined to think it's from gravity. Better frames will help prevent this from happening. To flatten them I would buy 2 pieces of foamcore from Hobby Lobby and and make a foamcore sandwich with your poster in between. Put weights on it and let it set for a while. I've used books to put on top but if you have any free weights I'd pile those on top. It may take a month or so to flatten out but I've had pretty good luck doing this. I hope this helps, if you have any follow-up question please feel free to ask. We have some pretty avid movie poster collectors here, we're led by Kinsella5...he's been dealing with posters for a long time. Everyone here is really nice and helpful. |
