If you're serious you would get archival or art mat and backing. That would keep the print or poster in mint condition. Just ask the framer about it. I haven't had anything framed in years but you're looking at an easy $125ish depending on size.

27x40, and I am happy to pay that if that is what is required. It is a signed poster for Casino Royale be Daniel Craig so I want to keep it in mint condition.

That size would probably be over$200. Sounds like a cool poster.

There has been talk of proper framing throughout the thread that you could find useful, but can also imagine you probably don't want to go through endless posts looking for them.

My advice is have the poster professionally framed and when doing so make sure you explain to the framer that the poster is a collectible and it is signed and you want to make sure it is done right. Any good framer will know what to do. First and foremost do NOT have them dry mount it. You will want the poster to be loose between the glass and the backing of the frame. Also go with an acid-free backing which will feel rough when you run your hand over it, not smooth. It also will be an off-white color, a tad bit cream colored. Depending on the light that comes into the area where you are planning on hanging it, consider UV-glass or even go with UV-plexiglass which is lighter in weight.

Because your poster is something special to you, and that being it is signed, it holds more value, especially to you so I would certainly avoid the cheaper $20 store frames. When I had Costner sign my original Field of Dreams and Dances With Wolves posters I spared no expense, and I am fortunate to have an amazing framer in my area who does incredible work. I think it ran me under $200 to have them framed as mentioned above each.

Default Mondo Batman Prints

For you Mondo print collectors, now that SDCC has started Mondo is releasing prints on their site at random it appears with no advance warnings. Today saw the release of Batman '66 by Martin Ansin, as well as a Two-Face print by Phantom Creative from the Batman Animated Series, both standard and variant. As expected, both sold out and probably through a lot of people off guard, including me. My guess is they will be doing this through SDCC so there probably will be more prints posted on their site at random.

Batman '66 Print Details:
http://www.mondotees.com/Batman-1966...nt_p_1581.html

BTAS: Two-Face Standard Print Details:
http://www.mondotees.com/Two-Face_p_1582.html

BTAS: Two-Face Variant Print Details:
http://www.mondotees.com/Two-Face-Variant_p_1583.html

Would be quite cool if Phantom City was doing other characters in the same style from the animated series.

Side note, the Ken Taylor "Das Boot" and "Predator" prints are still available on the Mondo site.

So far there's nothing at SDCC from Mondo I want (...yet) except for their action figure things they are going to start selling.

Pre order will start on their website AFTER SDCC. On a side note...I picked up the Jurassic Park vinyl and ended up with a variant (colored disc). VERY cool.

Trying to land Mark Englerts Jurassic World though...I love that print.

I wonder if theses posters were released in conjunction with or in honor of Batman's 75th anniversary? If so I wouldn't be surprised if more Batman posters, or merchandise stated popping up...

I wouldn't be surprised if Mondo doesn't release many prints for SDCC and basically there to promote their upcoming toy line as well as Mondo-Con which is Sept 20-21 in Austin. I suspect that is where the bulk of exclusive prints will be offered, I am sure they want this first con of theirs to kick major you know what, so hopefully they have a lot of special stuff planned for it.

Mark's Jurassic Park print is quite nice, 500 standards to be released between today and Saturday but outside of the venue so people don't need SDCC tickets to grab one. The variant will be available online too, 100 made, but sounds like a giveaway too.

Without a doubt they were released to coincide with the 75th anniversary. I was surprised nothing was released today though, perhaps more is in store for Friday-Sunday online, with variants at SDCC perhaps?

Default Vlad Rodriguez Limited Edition Prints

Vlad is really starting to take off, the guy has a great eye for design and detail, his prints are selling out and he has some great stuff on the horizon too. While a lot of his prints are sold out, he did tell me that as long as he meets a small minimum order, he can do artist proof signed/numbered copies. For example for those wanting his sold-out "Ghostbusters" print, he mentioned as long as he gets orders for at least 10 copies, he will do a small artist run. I assume this could work for his other prints.

When his next print is ready to drop, which I believe is for "Interview With the Vampire", since it is celebrating it's 20th anniversary this year, I will let everyone know as I believe he is only producing 50 of them.

So if anyone is interested, drop him a line directly through his website which is http://www.vladrodriguez.com/ and let him know that Jon with Emerald City Movie Posters sent you.

Jon would it be possible for you to organize a group buy? This way other collectors could have access to some of Vlad's wk that is NLA!!! I think you have enough of a loyal following that this could be mutually beneficial for everyone involved. I know there are a few prints that I would be interested in!!!!

Nothing so far released today, so I have to assume that the Batman prints from Wednesday were only because Wednesday was "Batman Day" so it probably had nothing to do with the kick off of SDCC. I believe Mondo generally does SDCC prints but not online, rather only at the con, so there is probably little chance of anything being offered online this weekend. Also, as I mentioned earlier, they could be holding out some really sweet prints to debut at Mondo-Con in September and perhaps not having that many for SDCC, but that is all just speculation on my part.

Well that is a good question. I do know that sometimes an artist will make a print for a small group of people that all go in together to secure enough finances for the artist to make it worth their while. I think Englert did one for Aliens like this and I believe another artist did a Judge Dredd movie print, basically a dozen people went in and commissioned him to do the artwork and then they did a print run limited to x amount such as 12, etc.

It would have to come down to a print that everyone would want, but unsure if Vlad would want to make it an exclusive just for x amount of people, meaning something that he couldn't offer to everyone else. I did propose an idea for a print recently to him and he loved the idea and may start work on it soon he said, a film that has a large cult following too, but in the end he is the artist and has the final word.

But its certainly an idea to entertain, curious though if everyone here for example could all agree on a film title? I wonder what the top 10 movies people would choose to see a print made for would be here on this thread?

Mine would be, in no particular order:

Field of Dreams
The Shawshank Redemption
Dances with Wolves
The Thing
Heat
Unforgiven
Braveheart
Goodfellas
Jaws
Halloween

Thanks, I have the Aliens and the Darth Vader ones. They are both still rolled up in the shipping container I was sent from Fox.

Those were the black and gold ones, correct? To my knowledge only single-sided ones exist, but they were nicely done, I had the Vader one as well.

Nothing like a Stout Marvel print to get me back in the print game. Can't wait to see the details of the standard print.

I finally got around to hanging a bunch of posters up in my room. Finding frames was taxing on my wallet...But I'm happy everything is finally looking spiffy!

Sorry if there is any flash/light glare. I didn't realize it was so hard to take a picture of a poster!

Game of Thrones - Daenerys Targaryen Poster

Sin City Banned Eva Green Poster

Funko Pop! Poster (Got it for free at a Comic-Con event)

& Finally, a Game of Thrones Vanity Fair and an Original Rolling Stones concert poster from 1975
