Clearly the item sounds either used or something on consignment that they were selling. If the item is still up on the website, print it out so you can reference it. You may want to double check with Paypal, I think they can help you, give them a call if you have not, don't go so much on what their site says, you may have some luck there.

Finding the "better eBay sellers" as you put it is rather difficult, so much of the stuff on there is being sold by people who have no clue what they are doing or selling reprints, fakes, etc. There are good sellers on there, but unfortunately with eBay's lack of enforcement on much of the counterfeit crap on their site, the good sellers get harder and harder to find.

One day my inventory will be done and I will be back into the poster scene more so than I have been.
I agree that you have to be careful on eBay, but if you don't get what you paid for, it's easy to get your money back. Anyway, I have 4 empty frames with mats ready to go, so time to find something else to go in them.

I actually went back and searched for Mondo posters and read some of your posts.

I ended up getting a ready-made frame, but with UV glass, acid free backing, and spacers.

Although, I'm pretty sure a couple of my How to Train Your Dragon 2 were drymounted.
Good thing I don't ever plan on selling them. :/

Hey guys, I've been stuck searching online for awhile now with no end to my search, and it dawned on me I should've asked on here first!

So I've bought some vintage posters, not film related, but rather motorsport related. My problem is, I can't find a frame for one of them, in the style that I want.

I'm looking for one of those borderless? clear glass/acrylic frames with the metal posts in each corner, like so:

[Show spoiler]

but in a Landscape dimension that can fit a 44" x 32" poster (frame can be larger, doesn't matter like a 48x36+)

It's been a couple hours so far and I can't really find anything in that size, at least in landscape... with the way the frame is made, i can't simply by a portrait oriented frame and use it for this, due to the mounting brackets and to how the poster is held within (sides aren't sealed)

any ideas? or websites that i can check out (although i think i may have exhausted that avenue)

I'd rather not have a bordered frame :/

There are companies, who do frame jobs manually, which means any size is possible. That's of course a bit expensive. I'm doing exactly that.

The one I use even offers a service, where they remove folds from folded posters for the most part by using a large and heavy press machine (required for ultra-large posters from France, because those are always folded).

Fille Sur Le Pont + Nikita are both 160 cm x 120 cm posters and came folded.

Yeah, that's what professional framing companies do too.

I want to upgrade my 27x40 walmart frames. They're a pain in the ass to put the posters in, and sometimes they get wrinkled inside the frame. They're also very heavy and break very easily.

I was looking at:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007NX4DNW/

$60 from snapframes. Had my eye on this for awhile. Has anyone ever ordered this exact frame? I'm afraid if I spent $60 it will get broken in the mail or something. How do they ship these and what's the estimated arrival time of delivery from ordering? It also says can fit multiple posters inside for storage and that would be great because I have a bunch of posters rolled up that I'm afraid I might accidentally damage one day.

And I was also contemplating this:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PSP92M4/

About $30 after shipping. Same cardboard backing as the Walmart frames but the border is the kind of you slide off into 4 different sides. I'd prefer to have that instead of Walmart's borders that bust easily and can't be super glued back together (I have duct tape colored with black sharpie on two of my corners).

The frames I get are about $120 each, but they are high quality with acid free backing and anti glare plexi.

Anyone going to NYCC? An artist friend may have some of his work there and I don't want to take the chance that it sells out before it can make it's way online.

I've been contemplating those two options myself so I'm also interesting in hearing any options on them or any other decently priced options. The poster I want to hang isn't rare or expensive so I'm trying to find an option better than the Walmart type frames but something that won't break the bank.

So, the Back to the Future trilogy is going to be back in theaters for one day only on 10/21/15 (the date that they travel to in the second movie). I already have my tickets.

Anyway, I saw this poster on Facebook for the 2nd movie. Odd that it's just for the 2nd movie and not the whole trilogy, but it's legit. Does anyone know where I might be able to obtain a copy of this poster? I'd LOVE to get it if I can!

Try eBay. If it is a real poster, somebody will put it up. Kinsella might know.

I personally have not looked into it, it would surprise me that the studio would bother to print a poster for a film with only a one night screening. The images you see could be just promotional images, would not surprise me if there are three similar images total, each representing one of the BTTF films. There is always a chance the studio made a small amount of posters, perhaps one poster for each film, and sent them to the participating theaters who are showing the movie but IF that is the case, don't expect a large amount of them out there.

If however the studio didn't produce any "official" movie posters for these screenings, that won't stop the counterfeiters from printing up their own posters and slapping them on eBay or various websites trying to convince people they are the real deal, etc.

Fathom Events generally put on these special one-night screening events. Are they involved with this re-release one-night event? I did speak to them recently about a film being re-released (The Iron Giant) and they did confirm to me that they are doing a poster for it, but they don't give out any posters and they only print enough generally for the theaters in question to receive one of them. Years ago they put on a special one night event screening of First Blood, and the made a full size 27x40 double-sided poster for it, using the original Struzan artwork. I had to go through several channels just to acquire one of them and that was virtually impossible, so getting a Fathom Events poster is quite difficult.

I am not sure if they are involved with the BTTF one-night showings, those images you see may in fact just be promotional images and nothing more for online marketing. eBay, while it has it's share of fakes, etc, does have honest sellers, there is always a chance some may pop up there, I have to imagine they would be double-sided, but if that is the case, and they are authentic, there is an insanely large fan base for those films and chances are they will fetch good money. Huge film + re-release x low print run (if any) + large fan base = $$$ for a poster.

Do any of you have a suggestion where I might be able to find a special print or poster for the original scream movie? I am not really looking for the original scream theater poster but one that a artist has created. I have looked through etsy and red bubble and cant really seem to find something I want. I had hoped some artist would have at least done something special since Wes passed. I dont know to many other galleries to check out. I may just have to be patient for a while.

Thank you to anyone in advance who may be able to help me out.

You could always try Expressobeans.com, that is the foremost website forum for screenprints, both limited and non-limited.

Even though I wasn't totally digging the Stout AoU posters, I thought I would try to nab one anyway.

I had a poster in my checkout before the tweet even went out and it was still sold out.

Holy.
Crap.

Looking at the tweets, it looks like the posters (which had a good run - 750 for the "basic") was sold out within a minute of the original tweet.

Wow.

What is this? Star Wars?!?
