I think you are taking it too personally, I for one have zero problem with you or anyone else wanting a reprint over an original. Not everyone is into collecting original movie posters, everyone is different, and as you mentioned, you'd rather spend the money on newer audio/video items and I respect that decision. I will admit I was under the impression you had the original Iron Man teaser and you were concerned about it, then realizing it was a reprint. Since it was that, as I mentioned, best route is in fact to have it drymounted, which I strongly advise people don't do for originals, but in your case, since its a reprint and the issue bothers you, spend the little money it should cost to have it drymounted and that should solve the issue.

I'm looking forward to mounting this poster for sure. I have a spot right behind the dining room where I have a "Jaws" poster, where this will fit perfectly.

Making a Craigslist run tomorrow morning for some posters. Guy's brother worked for Touchstone pictures so he has his old collection of posters. $3 a piece! Bunch of Disney and cool stuff. I'll report back with my score tomorrow.

Holy crap. What a score it was. None of these were 10/10 condition-wise, but some really strong 8's and some stuff I'm just glad to have ! $54 all in and some I got multiples of!

Congrats on those pick-ups, you did amazingly well, especially if they are in in near-mint condition or better. You got some great posters, some of those are insanely hard to find too. Are The Rocketeer and NBC ones double-sided? Are any single-sided or all double-sided? Nice way to ring in the new year....

The rocketeer and NBC are both doublesided. The rocketeer is very glossy and is unfortunately missing probably a small 1/2" corner at the bottom. Almost all are doublesided except for Star Trek V and the Snow White Mirror because it's printed on Mylar. Oh and the Indy ones were single sided. (I think that was it?)

Rocketeer has a strong following, despite the film not doing that well due to poor marketing, that character has a large dedicated fan base. I had that teaser signed by the late Dave Stevens who was the creator of the character, one of the nicest guys out there. I had the posters with me many years ago before the film opened and met him and he didn't even have one so I made sure he got one, and then he signed the others I had, and he had a nice bold signature. I had mine framed but years ago I sold it to a collector at a show who really wanted it, and had never been able to find one, he was a much bigger Rocketeer fan than I was by far, so he was thrilled to have it in his collection. I will agree the glossy stock makes it (and other posters that feature the glossy look) stand out and look really nice. Sadly studios don't do the glossy look on that many posters.

That damage does affect the value a great deal but if its something you wanted for your collection, you did quite well. Many of those titles are really nice additions you got there.
