Curious if they will know how to properly roll and package up a poster up, or if they will basically be another DMR not taking into consideration the importance of properly packaging a poster. They'll come folded in an envelope.... just kidding, I don't know, someone else will need to be the guinea pig first unless a cool poster catches my eye first.

Either way, I don't see them taking extreme care so my bet would be close to DMR. It's a "freebie" program from their perspective so there's very little incentive for them to take such care.

It is unfortunate that DMR and possibly Regal will see it as a freebie item, when in fact people buy Blu-ray and DVDs to get their points and go to the movies to get the Regal points. It would not take much for a company to ship the posters the correct way, but they don't seem to want to take care of their customers, it's ashame really but curious how it will be for the Regal people who try it out that are here on the thread.

Does anyone know someone who deals with Japanese movie posters? I managed to get the Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah poster off a guy about a decade ago. But, I think he closed up shop. I am not sure if any have been printed but, Toho, put these up on the website for Godzilla Resurgence and I do want to get my hands on them if they are indeed printed and displayed in theaters somewhere in Japan.

I just placed an order for this poster. Is $17 a decent price for an original advance movie poster? I thought it was so I bought it.

$17 is actually a bit low for an original movie poster but some are in that price range or generally around $25 but then can go up temendously. I assume you meant "$17 for a newer release" correct? Even still, it all depends on how difficult they are to get out there, some new releases can fetch hundreds of dollars right out of the gate. Perhaps you can post the exact link from Amazon that you purchased from so myself and/or others can check to see who is selling it and verify the listing so they didn't throw in some words like "reproduction" or "reprint" somewhere in the listing. Best to have some peace of mind if you know what I mean, it's hard to trust so many of the stuff that is out there on eBay, Amazon, etc. Never really used to be that way but has become worse and worse.

I never bought from movie poster arena because I never trusted they had authentic posters, maybe they sell good fakes? I just have a funny feeling about them.

I would say it is legit, one way though to really tell is when you get the poster look at the front and then look at the back. The backside should appear lighter than the front and it should be enough to be noticable. To my knowledge that dealer is legit but generally has dealt more with international versions of movie posters than the domestic ones. This particular poster doesn't appear to be that difficult to find or fetching much more than the price you paid. But once you get it, check the backside, you should be able to tell the color consistecy difference between the back and front as the authentic one-sheet movie posters have this color difference.

From a collector's point of view I can understand how you feel and others as well. It is getting harder and harder to trust poster sellers because so much stuff out there is either reprinted unlicensed posters or knockoffs, which makes it more difficult for customers to find the legit trustworthy dealers. It certainly has shifted over the years where originals were being offered by various websites that people could trust. There are some honest dealers and honest indidividual sellers out there both on eBay, Amazon, and other websites though.

I remember someone here a few years ago purchased a poster from a dealer in California and when they opened the tube they said it smelled like fresh ink. I want to say it was someone who purchased a Star Trek: Into Darkness movie poster but I can't recall who that person was here or who the seller was that they bought from. While one sheet movie posters should not smell like that unless someone is getting them right off the printer, I do know that some bus shelter posters can smell like that. For example I have the character style Dark Knight Rises bus shelter posters, they are huge, but they still smell of ink. They are 100% authentic but still have a smell to them, perhaps because they were all boxed up soon after the studio received them and have not been out enough for that smell to truly go away, plus the fact that they are rather large. The detail up-close on them is pretty insane I might add.

Its legit, but the seller is a deuce. They go by many names on eBay. I returned a color defective poster to them, to which they later banned from purchasing. But I at least got my money back so eh?

So did anyone else magically become Diamond on Regal's points program? Lol

Interesting that they would ban you from purchasing because they sold you a defective item. Thats not only petty of them but unprofessional. Maybe posting all of their eBay seller names here would help so people dont' run into the same problems but only if you know 100% those eBay names are all the same person.

Have you seen an official Aquaman poster out? I THOUGHT there was one but now I can't seem to find it. Or was that just a promo and that's all we get. Not a full 27x40.

I personally have not seen one, I assume you are referring to the upcoming Superman/Batman film, correct? I believe there is just a character style for Batman, for Superman, and for Wonder Woman, but I have not seen one for Aquaman. Not saying there isn't, but I have not seen one first hand. There could be online images or fan-made etc but officially I have yet to see one.

I have not either besides Unite the Seven but I think it was never in print. I was looking for a Unite the Seven theatrical sized one but I don't think they exist officially.
