I had zero points until kept finding codes that I didn't redeem. The Avengers 3D, Wall-E, NBC, Inside Out, etc.

From reports I have seen before it was a number of factors causing the damage, namely how the employee would initially roll the poster. So many seem to think rolling tight right off the bat is the way to go, it's not, it only can increase the chances of putting creases in the poster. Its always best to gingerly roll it up lightly and the with proper finger placement inside one side of the poster to then slowly roll until it gets tighter. Too tight can cause the tiny tears to appear on the side. That is one of the problems they had, but does an employee with DMR know this? No. They will roll quick, put in the sleeve (now) and ship out. Time is of the essence, companies are getting more and more fast about getting the product to the customer, even if it means the customer gets something in less than satisfactory condition. Sure they can say "Hey we got it to you fast!" but then you can say back "Yeah but its trashed upon delivery".

I told them years ago and multiple times to start using plastic sleeves to protect it, maybe they finally listened, but I doubt it was just me, it was probably complaints from several that did it. But they still need to protect the poster from shifting during transit inside the tube AND tape the end caps down. Adam, was yours like that since you recently got a poster?

Disney also needs to use better tubes, I've read a couple members here received their GotG crushed.

It was in a plastic sleeve with the packing slip. Nothing cushioning either end, but was in great condition.

Thanks for the kind words. Storing short term in the tubes are ok, especially if in a cool dry place. But I would not recommend for long term storage, perhaps if you wrap in acid-free paper first you can get longer life out of the tubes. Every framer shop is different price-wise, what I would do is call around to some shops that handle framing and inquire directly. Make sure the poster in question is 27x40 inches, because when it comes to cut glass, I believe just a jump up in size by one inch (to 27x41 inches) can be a big deal cost-wise. But if they are 27x40 inches, best thing is call some frame stores and ask how much it would cost to frame it with a metal frame, no matte, using acid-free backing and either standard glass, UV-glass, or UV-plexiglass. A good framer will take the time to give a price quote. Make sure you tell them no dry mounting because that is an added expensive.

Acid-free backing is also generally a cream color and a bit rough to the touch, at least that is what my framer uses and I trust her, she does an amazing job (I saw you are a Seahawks fan so if you are local to Seattle, let me know I can refer you to the place I have my posters done at).

But also inquire with Michael's and Aaron Brothers since they do custom framing too and then once you get a price quote, if they are running a coupon at the time it "should" stack. I can't really shed any light on frames you buy from online websites as I have never used them but I am sure some on here have and can share their thoughts.

I'll be sure to look into requesting price quotes from a number of different custom framing locations using those parameters. I am located about a half hour south of downtown Seattle, so I'd appreciate contact info for the place you go to as well. If you could please PM that info whenever it's convenient, that would be great. I'd really prefer to go the most economical route possible without comprising on protecting the posters long-term. I also came across this Displays2Go website that seems somewhat reasonably priced and features an interesting way to switch out posters, but I couldn't find much info about acid free material used as backer. http://www.displays2go.com/C-1559/27...wood-Playbills Maybe I should just stick with a standard frame option?

I'm selling 1 Limited edition Giclée with storyboard from Alien Covenant with Certificate of Authenticity. Numbered 88/400. Measures: 16"x20".

It really depends on what you're looking for. Kinsella5 will pop up shortly with a few good sites I'm sure. If you go with originals you will want them framed in a professional manner which will drive your cost up. If you just want some cool posters with no value to them I would say just to get some reprints and grab some frames from Michaels.
It really comes down to the poster and how much you want to spend honestly.

I think for right now I am just going to go with the cheapest reprints I can find. It's a wild hair I got today, and I have been looking over the web to find some good sites for this type stuff.

One question after looking, I think I want them to all be the same size, is 24x36 or 27x40 the standard? I have found some of each. Thanks!
