Default Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair

Not sure if these were mentioned here on the forum (sorry I was out of commission for a few weeks but back now), there was a special showing of "Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair" in Beverly Hills, California at the New Beverly Theater, with Tarantino himself in attendance on the first night as it was his birthday. There were 600 standard editions made, and 225 "rice paper" variant editions made, each 24x36 inches, and numbered (very few came signed and numbered by the artist). Only about 100 of the standards were made available for sale at the actual screening, people reported epic sized lines for the screening and to get the print. The bulk of the rest of the prints were then offered for sale on Mondo's site, and, as everyone can expect, sold out in mere seconds, literally.

Here is the standard edition image:

Nope, what they did was they took the two Kill Bill films and simply made them into one film and gave it the tagline "The Whole Bloody Affair". Think of it as both films being re-released in theaters but as one long film. They had the special screening at the New Beverly Theater in Beverly Hills, California, but on the opening night, it coincided with QT's birthday so he was there, and Mondo was there offering the exclusive standard edition print as mentioned in my previous posting but of the 600 numbered prints available, they only had 100 for sale the night of the screening. Most of the others sold via the Mondo website, and the artist will have a limited amount for sale on his site soon, but his will be signed AND numbered, all the others were just numbered.

Ok I wasn't sure if it was covered, they are quite nice, but then again anything T.S. does is amazing. The Iron Man 2 metal variants were incredible, my quest for his "The Thing" one is ongoing.

Welcome to the thread, there is a lot of information throughout so if you have not read gone back and read it from page one, some informative posts by a number of people here. Signed stuff can be tricky, mainly because there is so many people who sell fake stuff out there. I have some signed stuff I have acquired in-person and try to get a photo with the celebrity in question when possible when they are signing, my recent signed stuff I wasn't able to as it was obtained through a particular studio contact (signed Watchmen final style by all seven main actors, the co-creator of the graphic novel, and the director), but most recently I met James Cameron here in Seattle and had him sign some Avatar teaser posters. Super nice guy he is.

hi ive started decorating my house with framed movie posters but ive come into one problem.

I live in the U.K and the easiest and cheapest poster frame to get a hold of is 61x91.5 cm, 24x36 inches i think. But when searching on the internet for actual movie posters (i dont mind if they are reprints) i can only find 27x40inches. But 27x40inch frames are very hard to find in the uk.

Does anyone know where the best place for 61x91cm movie posters from?

The ones im mainly trying to hunt down are The pianist and Leon The Professional.

Thanks in advance and have a nice day

Here in the USA, the places that carry the 27x40 cheaper frames seems to be Michaels Arts & Crafts and Aaron Brothers Framing. I am sure there are some sites online that may carry that size that ships to the UK but I suspect shipping costs would be quite high. If you have a framer shop around your area, you may want to inquire with them and ask if they know of any local places or places within the UK that can ship to you 27x40 inch frames so they can fit the U.S. movie posters. Hope this info helps, what little info I provided that is.

thank you sir! been going thru most of the thread and some real good stuff indeed... by the way, do you happen to know a guy by the name of Kirk Sullivan? he used to work for the now debunked Warner Bros. Stores and then with Choice Collectibles back East... he got me two of the most treasured collectible posters in my possession... two Matrix posters; one, the original DS non-date final poster with both director's signatures... and a slightly smaller one sheet advance of Matrix Reloaded with Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Hugo Weaving NOT dry-mounted, in high quality frames...

nice huh?

No, I don't know the person you mentioned, but it sounds like the Warner Brothers store offered a signed and numbered version of The Matrix poster to customers back in 1999, you have something very unique and rare most defiantly. Those brothers who directed the film really shy away from the press and obtaining those signatures now would be incredibly difficult and the fact that only 500 were signed and numbered, that's a very low number. You could practically name your price for that poster you have!

Here is the teaser advance poster image for Hangover 2. With the film a few weeks away, not sure if the studio will be issuing a new poster, if they do I would not be surprised if they use the same image, but simply add credits to it like what they did for Sucker Punch recently...

The theater got the Final Hangover part II poster the other day. It is the same. Just has the credits at the bottom.

Yup, just as I predicted then. Not sure what is going on with WB's marketing department, waiting forever to put a poster out for a film, and then suddenly using the same poster design for the final style, just adding the credits to it. Next came Hangover 2, Green Lantern looks like we will see just the one poster released. What would surprise me is HP and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, if they use the same image as the teaser and add the credits, clearly it's the new thing for that studio. HP has always had multiple posters for its films each with different artwork, would be a shame if this wasn't the case for the final film.

Sad to say it but I kind of like the Green Lanter poster. Trailer looks bad but poster is nice. I thought I likes HP but now they should of stuck with the teaster of the school burning and put part two on it. Last few months it seems like posters are getting worse and worse. Turning out just like movies.

While the first trailer for GL was not that good, and even the marketing heads admitted it was rushed, the newest trailers have been much better, and the poster is nice. I didn't think they would use the same HP Part 1 teaser for part 2, since the poster already stated Part 1 and 2 on it. That poster has been getting increasingly difficult for collectors to find too, so many people enjoyed the imagery of it, including some non-HP fans I have heard.
