Well, looks like WB did release a poster with the credits on it, but it is the "heroes" poster, look on rottentomatoes.com. I should have saved my money for that poster, O well!!

Zero, don't you work at a theater? If so, you would be one of the first to see it if they do one. Regarding sites such as RottenTomatos and others showing an image of the 2nd advance with credits, until its a confirmed poster someone sees in a theater, then its possible those sites were given an image of it to look like a final credited poster. I have not heard anything about a new style coming out and the film is 9 days way. Sure, it's possible, anything is, but if one doesn't hit theaters this week, it would certainly be something new for a studio to issue a final style at the same time the film is opening. There is also a chance that they may have made a final style but in a very small limited quantity and shipped to the larger theaters, but this is all speculative on my part.

True, but even Fandango has this image as well, and if it is truly a new style of poster, I'm still very frustrated, I just bought the advance style of that same image and now I may have to buy that same image with the credits on it, as you said, WB and other studios have been making strange decisions on posters recently

You may want to venture down to a local theater after Wednesday of this week and look around their lobby, perhaps this weekend, if it is in fact a poster, it should be up then.

Yeah I do but sometimes people know stuff about posters before me/theaters. Most of the time with big movies like Potter/Twilight/Dark Knight
they send the final poster the day before the movie comes out.

Looking for a frame for my Bambi poster I got with the Blu. Do places like Jo Ann's sell stuff to build cheap frames with?

The two final styles for Dark Knight hit theaters in April/May of 2008, the film hit in July 2008 so if your theater got the final the day before the film opened, then someone was holding them back for some reason why doesn't make sense. Final styles generally hit weeks before a film opens, rarely have I seen them hit sooner, but this year has been different, with SuckerPunch for an example, the final style hit about a week and a half before the film opened. I suspect we will see the first advance for Dark Knight Rises around Thanksgiving of this year, would be cool if it was sooner, but I have a feeling it will be right around that time, and maybe we will be lucky enough to see an advance for The Hobbit around December too.

Not sure about JoAnn's but Michaels Arts & Crafts or Aaron Brothers Framing should have ready-built frames for quite cheap, but check your Sunday newspaper ads, as they often have a coupon for a certain percentage off any one item. Even JoAnn's does too at times if they carry frames.

Those promotional posters are much smaller than actual movie posters so yes it is quite affordable to get frames at places like Michaels Arts and Craft stores but make sure to use their coupon in the Sunday newspaper ads section, it can save you 40% generally.

The frame for the AC poster was $20 and the one for the MW3 poster was $30 (that one is much larger). I wasn't aware they have coupons.

Yup, I have reported that several times in this thread, Michaels Arts & Crafts tends to have a coupon for 40% any single one item (sometimes even 50%) every few weeks in the Sunday newspaper ad section.

I should know more tonight or tomorrow about if there is in fact going to be a final style HP with credits on it. Also, word going around now is that the teaser trailer and first advance poster for Dark Knight Rises is set for release next week. While it isn't shocking a teaser poster would be released a year in advance, as it has happened before for films, if this is true, I am curious what it looks like. When I hear something I will post here, trailer is expected to be around 90 seconds long.

Thanks Kinsella5, if The Dark Knight Rises trailer appears next week, it probably will be shown in front of Potter, which makes sense.

Yes it will be shown in front of HP is what is being reported, makes sense, why not sure high profile trailers in front of the last HP film that will see zillions of moviegoers attend? Also the trailer for Sherlock Holmes 2 is expected as well. These trailers, IF they are in fact showing next next, should make their way online probably around Tuesday I imagine.

Tuesday seems about right. I do know a website that sometimes has previews from the night before online, traileraddict.com, idk if they do it right after the midnight premieres, but some of the previews do make it online there that day, but for a nice HD copy of the preview, I agree, Tuesday sounds right

While I can see the trailer being released a year in advance, the announcement of the first teaser poster may be premature, but there is always a chance of that news being accurate. The voice-over teaser trailer for Dark Knight was put out a year in advance (Summer 2007), but the first two advance style movie posters didn't hit theaters until the week after Thanksgiving 2007 when the full trailer hit as well, followed by the two final style movie posters hitting theaters in March/April of 2008 (for the record there were four official styles made for Dark Knight and one official style made for the 2009 re-release of the film).

It could be that whomever broke the news of the trailer hitting next week is assuming that a poster will accompany the trailer. It may, or it may not. I'd be surprised if this trailer shows much footage, or any footage at all, but if we don't see a poster for the film, one should be released in late November to coincide with a full trailer.
