I agree bout it looking too much like his C&A print. Both of those you mentioned look fantastic. I imagine those are going to sell out really fast when they drop.

The variant sold out fast, but the regular actually took a while, 11 minutes, to sell out. It's going to be a while before I buy another poster. Can't wait to see what comes out for the avengers and TDKR. A Stout Avengers? Yes please!

That's too bad. I must have misread. I knew the sale was on at 7 minutes in by getting two messages. One, the sale is on, two, after two minutes, sold out. Oh well.

Wow! I really, really like it!

Gold frame looks great, I would not have thought of that.

I love to see these prints up in frames on collector's walls, makes me really happy to see them go to good homes rather than the speculators.

That Ansin Mummy is a nice print. Looks great in that gold frame. It looks like there is going to be a series of Jurassic Park posters from Mondo to coincide with it's release on blu-ray. Nice Aaron Horkey to get things started.

I believe we shall be seeing the Struzan one around the middle of September. I heard last week that it would be in a few weeks, so prepare yourself as it will sell out within seconds.

Thanks...it's my first real big frame job i've done myself and i made sure i used all acid free materials including the mount board and also a uv resistant plexiglass front. Regarding the Struzan poster this site http://www.halloween-blues.com/2011/...nkenstein.html claims it will be dropping sometime in October closer to Halloween but if it is in a few weeks i'm a little short on cash lol so i'm hoping for later. I have a feeling the next drop may be the Ansin Planet of the Apes which would be fine by me.

Wasn't that Ansin Planet of the Apes a San Diego Comic Con exclusive? THe information on Struzan I heard possibly was early news, but someone at Mondo had mentioned it to me as being a few weeks, but it could have been delayed again as you said until October. I didn't see it mention closer to Halloween in that article, but it would not surprise me if it did.

Yeah it was but not sure if it was the regular print or just the wood variant. How much do you think the Struzan will be going for??? I'm guessing about $200-250 range since that Jurassic Park variant at last nights MMM was selling for $200 i heard.

That Horkey Jurassic Park is niiiice.

Also Mondo announced they're doing a Pixar series, which is going to further damage my wallet.

Remember the Mondo Mystery Movie prints are exclusive to that event, so you won't see them being sold anywhere else (with the exception of people re-selling them) so if the variant is only going for $200, that's pretty cheap. Stout's Akira still commands $800-$1000 for the standard since that was only available at the first Mondo Mystery Movie, and only 180 were made, which is actually 30 less than The Thing standard he did in 2008. Not comparing the two films, both are equally masterpieces in their own right, but just giving a comparison with prices/print runs.

It really depends on how many Struzan ones are made, if there is a high number like 500+, then it won't be out of control with regards to the secondary prize, but if they are really limited with say only 250 or so, then yes, prices will be quite high, especially if they do a even more limited variant version.

Yeah make sure you are signed up for their newsletter so you get the actual email in your inbox with the image of it, and details. Random time tomorrow, I wasn't a huge fan of Monster's Inc but a Pixar series does sound cool. They picked a really good artist in Tom Whalen to do them, he is masterful at doing animated style prints.

Got my Dark Knight and LOTR Trilogy Posters. The quality of the prints is fine enough for me, but the cardboard backing and the fasteners are a bit on the cheap side. As far as the framing I would not be happy if I had to pay full price (as mentioned earlier in the thread, there were some shipping issues so I got 50% reimbursed).

Link to my HT Gallery has the high full res shots I took of the posters:
https://www.blu-ray.com/community/ga...hp?member=badz

Before someone asks, the Dark Knight snapshot I took has some mild reflections that make the top right corner look very washed out. That white "fuzz" is actually just the reflection of my apartment's white popcorn ceiling. Cheers guys!

Congrats! They look great! As long as you love them that's all that matters. I'm loving the dark knight poster. Great choice! I commented in your HT gallery as well.

I have an Underworld film cell display that I bought like 3 years ago. I never displayed it because i could never figure out a way to illuminated it from behind so you could see the detail in the cell. Anyone know of a good way to do this?

Jon, I'll be PMing you shortly about posters.

I managed to order the following poster from the company in charge of distributing the movie in Sweden.

They said they normally don't ship to the U.S. and rarely do they sell to individuals but I told them how much the film means to me so they made an exception. According to the gentleman I spoke with, only me and the director of the film Matt Reeves will be the only individuals in the states to own the poster. So obviously that means a lot to me. It's my favorite movie and this is my favorite poster the film has to offer. Now I have to decide on framing options, any suggestions?
