I'll have my frame this week for it.

Speaking of frames...I want to thank grooveska for his help picking out a frame. I got a deluxe archive frame from hollywoodposterframes.com for $119. I think it's an outstanding deal since they had to cut a weird size. Since it's European, they use centimeters and it was 70 x 100 cm. That converted to 27.6 x 39.4 inches. Weird!
Unless things have changed, British Quads are typically 30x40 inches, but perhaps they changed things, but did you measure the poster yourself with a tape measure? I am sure it is fine though, not trying to scare you or anything. But sometimes U.S. posters are off size-wise but generally just by a hair or two, not inches. Congrats though that it arrived safely, and leaving it wrapped up without the paper is fine, just DON'T use rubber bands to keep it rolled.

I use brown kraft paper when I ship a Mondo print, helps to protect it because the Mondo prints aren't on standard poster paper, they are thicker screenprints on rag paper, and you can't roll them up as tightly as you can a movie poster so I generally need to roll them up loosely and put brown paper around them.

Yeah I did measure it. When I ordered my frame I told the lady that the poster was listed as being 70 x 100 cm and she recommended that I measure it because sometimes that info is incorrect. It indeed was exactly as they stated. As far as rubber bands go, I would never use them on a poster. I'm being too careful with this one I'm sure.

I kind of wish I had a light box, this poster is sort of transparent as it's double sided and meant for a light box. Is this how all double sided posters are?

Default Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows Advance Styles

Here are the two advance character teasers for the upcoming "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows" movie. When placed back to back they seem to form a large image, much like the Alice in Wonderland ones did and a few others have in the past. The earlier images released a few months ago online were never posters, these are the first official posters for the film.

Transparent? Do you mean the backside is a lighter side than the front? If so, yes original double-sided movie posters from the past few years to present day have a lighter backside to them than on the front.

I guess transparent was the wrong word. It almost seems like it would glow with lighting behind it. I don't think the backside is any lighter than the front.

Those are pretty nice. I may have to consider them. I am a huge fan of the first movie.

Take a look at the front, color-wise, and then flip it over and look at the backside. Does it appear to be the same color consistency on both sides, or does the backside look "lighter" in color? The U.S. one-sheet movie posters look like that now, and have been over the past four years or so.

Mine is a Swedish poster, I'm wondering if the same rules apply.

It's possible, but maybe now. Flip it over and see, unless you already framed it.

I'll check when I unroll it to frame it. If I keep touching it I may end doing something to it.

I wish In Time had another poster. Like JT was on one poster and AS was on another. Can't wait for this movie to come out. Oh well.

Glad I could help! Sue is great to work with and I really like their frames. Can't wait to see pics when you get it all put together!

Anyone know where I can buy the original 27x40 "Iron Man" teaser poster? The one with half of Iron Man's face showing over a black background. I don't care if it's a reprint or not, honestly, as long as it's 27x40 and good quality.

You can find a reprint online for around $30 which are generally scanned images and then printed out (basically an unauthorized reprint). Personally I would go with an original because this poster is actually a tad bit difficult to find and getting harder to actually with the success of the Iron Man films and the upcoming Avengers teaser will bring more fans into the mix per say, making it a nice collectible to have which should further increase in value whereas a reprint has no resale value.

If you want an original, the studio made a glossy UV-coated advance teaser and a non-glossy one for the theatrical marketing campaign. Both are 27x40 inches in size, are the same design, and are double-sided, but the glossy one is rarer and really quite nice. MoviePoster.com is charging $150 for an original but they don't specify if it is the glossy version. MovieMarket doesn't appear to have it in stock. MovieGoods doesn't even offer a reprint which is rather odd.

As you can see, finding an original is quite limited, and expensive, but feel free to send me a private message, as I can help you out further. An image of the poster you are looking for is below as well:

Yeah it is a nice poster, more vibrant in-person and the glossy UV coating really makes it pop, you just cant notice it on the stock image.
