I didn't even realize there were 2 different kinds. Good to know.

Most television shows/mini-series don't have official posters for them. Sometimes they do, but they are only made for the television affiliates that air the show. For example when The X-Files, or Lost, were on television, FOX and ABC would send out promotional posters for the show to the stations that carried it. FOX used to have an internal catalog for employees so they could order various television show merchandize such as shirts, posters, etc but only for the affiliates employees. Some dealers such as MovieGoods simply copy an image released online and sell them as posters, but they aren't officially endorsed licensed posters, they are just reproductions.

I love the shooting star detail and Spielbergian homage in the sky!! It's very E.T., Jaws and Close Encounters!!
And it's the first in a series, so I wonder what the others will look like and how many...

Just landed one of the regular Jurassic Park posters! Was on the fence about it for a while, but decided to go for it. Anyone else have any luck?

Nope, I really wanted it too. I couldn't complete the checkout process. They need to do something about handling the traffic. I'm beyond upset. I had it in my cart.

If it is in your cart you should have a certain amount of time to complete checkout.

It's never going to be like that at mondo.

Why not? Other similar sites do it that way. Why can't they?

I was waivering on this one too... but I picked up the standard edition I prefer it to the variant, I like the text on the print.

I am so out of wall space and so behind on framing, I need to find a cheaper framing solution. The standard took a pretty long time to sell out, I was surprised.

I know ticketmaster puts a little timer on the page and gives you that long to complete your order, but they are also ticketmaster with a lot more resources available to them to pay for the "best" user experience possible.

Personally I find Mondo's experience just fine. They are a small shop selling limited quantities, not like they are selling 50k seats to a concert where they can make the kind of money it costs to cover the overhead of their site.

I honestly don't think Mondo is making a ton of cash and for the size of their operation I think they have a completely satisfactory solution.

About the only thing I think they could add is a captcha because I'm pretty sure there are people out there with automated solutions that are first past the post before anyone trying to do this manually is.

Damn it this was the one movie I'd have loved to have, finding out it took forever to sell out is killing me cause now they'll be 300 dollars on eBay

Nope i was caught off guard by the early drop just like the Stout Captain America...didn't help i was on the road around 10 this morning either and wasn't even checking on my phone then i got home and by the time i logged in on Mondo it was sold out. I was more heartbroken about missing the Frankenstein than this one even though i think JC Richard is an amazing up and coming artist for sure. Congrats to all who was able to get one i'm sure it will look great in person.
