So, if they ever consider re-releasing it, this cannot be done before October 2017!!
that's only speculation on our parts. for all we know the license just means no one ELSE can re release in less than 3 years, and doesn't count for a renewal of the license between Sony and TT

Interesting remark from that Facebook post in that he expected 10-15 more sellouts by the end of the year. Only 4 more actually occurred (The Blob, The Train, Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia and Fright Night (which actually occurred on Jan 1st)), so maybe sales haven't been quite up to expectations lately (with the exception of Fright Night of course)?

It's possible, although at this point there are several that seem to be close (As Good as It Gets, Our Man Flint, The Driver...)

Those numbers also include their initial run of DVD titles.

It would be good if TT posted an updated list with low quantities.

Kind of thought one of the Woody Allen titles would've sold out by now, but I guess there's probably people that would buy it but can't justify for themselves dropping 30 bucks for strictly the movie in HD since the "extras" are meaningless on these.

Seems like Bye Bye Birdie has been low quantity for years now.

The more new titles TT releases each month, the longer it will take for older titles to sell out. I know that there are some titles that I've had on my wish list for a while now, but those titles keep getting pushed back in favor of new titles. Since my budget is limited, I may never order them before they sell out or expire. In a sense, TT is competing against itself. There is a limited market for these boutique items and TT may be saturating it with their own product.

Why push back older titles just because there's new titles coming out? Just because they are new doesn't make them better. The new ones will be around longer, so it makes sense to buy the older ones and work back forward.

One assumes he is more excited about the newer titles, or more worried they will sell out. Makes sense to me.

A lot of TT's catalog is filled with movies that are a tough sell at $30, in my opinion, so less sell-outs than they originally planned on makes sense. Hopefully they now have a better understanding of what sells the most.

I wish they'd have an anniversary sale (or something like it again) to move those slower titles out....

$19.99 will be the trigger for me to add quite a few more Twilight titles to my collection....

Um, because I want the newer titles more? Seriously, if the older titles were must-haves for me, I would have bought them by now. They're films that I'm interested in and ones I will buy at some point, provided nothing new comes up to tempt me more. For instance, I was planning to pull the trigger on a few from my wish list, but then TT announced some great titles for Dec, Jan and Feb.

Now, here's the part where I expect to be lynched, if not out-right banned. If I don't get around to ordering those older titles before they sell out or expire, I'll live. After all, they're just blu rays.

With more title to choose from it sets different priorities for people since these are at a higher price. Most people will set their priorities getting what they like the best first as opposed to older to newer based on the TT release date. Some of the older titles (by TT release date and not the age of the movie) are probably not selling out because all that want them have them.

Although some of us think the initial TT releases are gems, not everyone will think so.

Heck if you put 100 movie fans in a room and make them write down their top 10, you would probably never any two that match.

To me, I want so much, but can only afford so many (both money-wise and storage space-wise). So while we keep getting more and more great TT releases at a faster pace than in years past, some of them are unfortunately getting pushed back to a wish list of sorts (in my case). Plus personally, I'm buying blurays faster than I have a chance to watch them. I'm at a point where I'm "saturated" in blurays. But that hasn't stopped me from adding to my collection when I can.
