Or give ones who lost out in a blu ray a second chance.

Enough people have told me to get State of Grace that I feel like I have to. I don't see anything else there I need to own though, despite there being some great flicks there.

Totally forgot American Buffalo existed. I usually do collect crime caper movies but that one has a bad rep.

Absolute Beginners is the one that first jumped out at me. Hmmm.

EDIT: I kind of like that I'm not too familiar with most of these titles ... because I like the hidden gems that TT sometimes comes up with. I'm hoping there are a few in this latest batch of films.

Speaking of Buffalo, How about Where the Buffalo Roam (1980) with Bill Murray. Who will release that?

Great announcement! Count me in for A Man for All Seasons, Mississippi Burning, and Hombre in May, and State of Grace, Mississippi Mermaid, and The Night of the Generals (with The Young Lions as a maybe) in June.

Their updated schedule on Facebook says:
Quote:
FIRST MEN IN THE MOON (1964) BLU-RAY - March 10th (Limited Edition of 5,000 units.)
JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH (1959) BLU-RAY - March 10th (New 4k Restoration - Limited Edition of 5,000 units.)
So there will be 5,000 of each.

Indeed.

A Man for All Seasons
Hombre
State of Grace
The Night of the Generals
The Young Lion

and of course, Mississippi Burning!

Another "sick" announcement by TT.

At first glance there is nothing that jumps out at me, and there are titles Ive never heard of it but based on my tastes nothing really sounds too interesting. There might be a hidden gem if I give one a try. Or at the very least I get 2 months off from Twilight Time purchases and save money for some other confirmed titles they have that I want such as Hound of the Baskervilles and also have more to spend on Kino releases

Of course I will at least try a couple of them since I love movies and open to trying something different. Ive regretted a few (dozen) but still there might be something in this batch I might go for

Two good news events from TT. The increase to 5000 for a couple titles I want, and the announcement of no titles I want for the coming months (that should help the wallet), although Night of the Generals sounds like a slight maybe.

I've been on a big David Bowie kick lately, and have been rediscovering all of his CDs (I own 'em all.) and watching his movies. I guess that this means I'm in for Absolute Beginners. Woo hoo!

A lot of great titles, but I'm most excited by Hombre. Martin Ritt and Paul Newman, story by Elmore Leonard. Not to mention Fredric March, Richard Boone and cinematography by James Wong Howe. Great, great news.

A Man For All Seasons, The Young Lions, and The Night of the Generals may also be getting my money at some point, but Hombre, Wow!

I've wanted to see Mississippi Burning for years, so I'll pick that up.

Hombre is a maybe for me as is Night of the Generals. The former may be more of a thing than the latter.

I've never seen this one before, but Paul Newman in a western ... that may be hard to resist (for me).

The big one here by far for me is A Man for All Seasons. What a performance by Paul Scofield. Great supporting cast too.

Six Academy Awards including Picture, Actor and Director.

Holy cow! What a lineup! Really excited for A Man for All Seasons, Hombre, The Night of the Generals, Mississippi Mermaid, The Young Lions.....all top shelf movies. TT's best two-month announcement package yet.

The real standout for me is The Young Lions. Powerful and classic war drama, directed by Edward Dymytrk. Time to say goodbye to my DVD.

Dymytrk also directed Raintree County, The Caine Mutiny, The Mountain, The Left Hand of God, Crossfire, a pair of great westerns Warlock and Broken Lance, and one of my favorite film noirs Murder, My Sweet.

If that doesn't grab you, then try this: starring Marlon Brando, Montgomery Clift, Dean Martin, Hope Lange, Maximillian Schell, and Lee Van Cleef.

My only disappointment is that Fox is not releasing The Young Lions and Hombre themselves.
