I think I need to own Lawman. The cover alone had me, then the cast, then I watched the trailer. Looks awesome

Even though I prefer to order from Twilight Time directly, I may just wait and order any of the low quantity ones at Screen Archives since they are the only one to have Man in the Dark 3D. Less shipping if I just order them from one place. There may not be as much of a rush to order them from Screen Archives, but who knows what the actual stock is.

Just FYI, I contacted Indicator about a possible Mad Magician release in the pipeline, and they more or less confirmed that one was coming. No release date or anything, but I just thought I'd put that out there for anyone on the fence.

Man in the Dark is gone from SAE, so presumably it is now Sold Out.

I ordered both of them, because I seem to remember The Great Owl giving Cowboy an enthusiastic review, and that was reason enough for me. Cat Ballou I wanted because of Lee Marvin's Oscar-winning performance.

I also picked up The Member of the Wedding because of Julie Harris' magnificent performance as the teenaged Frankie. She's by turns awkward, annoying, frustrating, sympathetic and lovable; I've never seen a film in which the pain and turmoil of adolescence is so realistically enacted. Ethel Waters and Brandon de Wilde are equally brilliant in supporting roles. If you like great acting, this is a film worth watching and revisiting.

I ordered Devil in a Blue Dress because I remember seeing it on cable some 20 years ago, and being impressed by the always-charismatic Denzel Washington. And I picked up Sense and Sensibility, a film I've never seen, because when haven't I enjoyed watching anything starring Kate Winslet and Emma Thompson?

Finally, I added Man in the Dark and The Mad Magician because I love 3D films, and my gut told me not to risk a sell-out. They brought my total order to over $100, and happily, SAE is again accepting PayPal credit as a form of payment, so I got six months interest-free financing.

Finally, add me to the list of people who are excited by the forthcoming release of Gidget. I, too, started to watch it last week on TCM, and turned it off after the credits ended and it reverted to pan-and-scan. I can't wait to see it in widescreen for the first time ... thank you, Twilight Time!

Well...that's good to know. I'll just keep my just ordered TT copy wrapped and will try to sell it for some $$. Maybe it'll be OOP by then.

Not to say anything against TT. I just ordered a few more titles this morning. I like to spread the love between labels.

I wonder if Sony will do a 4K scan of BARABAS? I'd love TT or Indicator to release that on Blu, with the score isolated.

The TT release includes 2 Three Stooges shorts, which may not be included in the possible Indicator release. So, I would say get the TT release for these before it sells out.

Decided to watch Mississippi Burning because of what happened in Charlottesville. Not only is it a great film but terrifying and at times uncomfortable. I am still shocked that people still clinged to such hateful, racist, backward ideology. As Willem Dafoe puts it: "Where does hatred come from?" A question that seems to be answered by children participating in rallies like their parents. It's a hard film to watch but highly recommended.

Damn, didn't even know it was low stock. I haven't really been in this thread for a while prior to this morning, or on SAE in a long while, but was there even an alert that it was getting low? Oh well I guess.

Man in the Dark 3D was on the Low Quantity Alert list in the first post of this thread for months, slowly dwindling down with each new update.

All the announced low quantity titles are listed there.

Didn't know Man in the Dark was so close to being gone. Had it in my cart for a few days. Was going to checkout today.

Ouch, wish I knew this a few days ago.

Oh well... the commentary on the TT will probably be exclusive to it along with the 20 minute making of.

Looks like Mad Magician is now sold out.

If anyone has bought a copy and is having second thoughts due to the possible re-release let me know if you'd be willing to sell it to me at cost. I was just interested in the Three Stooges shorts on the disc.
