Part of the draw of TT titles is the limited edition aspect. If TT was extremely on top of notifying everyone of quantities of titles, it would encourage people to wait for the absolute lowest price before buying.

On the other hand, if there is the "danger" of something selling out at some soon unknown date, it might encourage you to pick up a title you want at $19.99, for instance, until waiting until it drops to $14.99 or lower.

In summary, notifying people *less* of exact quantities and near sellouts may encourage people to spend *more* money per title for fear of it selling out.

Well my sale order of Summer Lovers, Scream and Scream Again, and The Hound of the Baskervilles from SAE never showed up. So I guess I'm not gonna get a copy of the first title.

I'm not saying it's the case here, but I often suspect that the people who complain the loudest about not getting low-quantity updates in real-time are actually "speculators" who want to know when it's time to grab the last 20 copies of a particular title.

I think TT does a pretty good job overall with updates, even though it might not always be in their best interest to do so.

What do you mean it never showed up? What does the tracking number say? You can always contact them to see if they can secure another copy from Twilight Time (it's still available at their site) to replace a lost copy.

I contacted SAE and they aren't going to do anything until the 1st of March, when they said they'll reship the items still in stock and refund me for the items that are sold out. I went ahead and ordered a copy of Summer Lovers from Twilight Time.

As for the tracking, the order was in and out of a distribution center about 82 miles from me on the 11th (so it should've arrived on the 12th or 13th*) and it hasn't been scanned in or out of any location since then.

[*I had another package, sent media mail, go through the same location on the 18th and it arrived on the 20th.]

I've filled out the missing mail search from the Post Office, but I haven't heard anything yet.

Is the sale still going on with Twiglight Time right now? I just ordered the movie Sayonara for the $19.97, it said I saved $10. I knew they were having a sale but I thought it already ended.

So let me get this straight...you've been a member of this site for 8 months (since June 2017), and you've never made an effort in all that time to learn more about the posting features?

I watched Thunderbolt and Lightfoot w/ my wife recently and enjoyed it. My wife observed that Jeff Bridges had some kind of swag going on for him that kinda transcended the times (I think that is what she was trying to say) except for the white pants, that is.

So, my interest has piqued for Cutter's Way after seeing T&L and after reading the talk about him a few pages back. He was really fun in T&L - stole the show from Clint Eastwood, really.

Saw him again so in Hell or High Water just the other day... really good film. Another really good performance almost 50 years later.

I didn't wanna miss out on Cutter's, so I read up on some of the titles I wasn't so familiar with and bought the following:

Within the last hour, on their Facebook page, they've mentioned that Audrey Rose is now down to 5 copies (only at SAE) and Love and Death is down to 70 copies (also only at SAE).

They didn't say anything more about Summer Lovers, but it doesn't come up on a search at TT, so...gone?

Jeff Bridges is one of my top favorite actors. I also highly recommend The Fabulous Baker Boys (one of his best performances IMHO which you can pretty much say with all of his amazing work) and Fat City from TT as well.

EDIT: Oops. Forgot Fabulous Baker Boys was sold out. Definitely worth getting from a third party seller at a decent price though.

Bridges' 70s films are pretty underrepresented on BD. Specifically, "Bad Company" (Paramount, so almost zero chance), "Rancho Deluxe" (MGM, so fairly good chance), "Lolly Madonna XXX" featuring an unhinged Rod Steiger and Robert Ryan as warring hillbilly patriarchs (Warner, so a chance), "Hearts of the West" (Warner), and "Winter Kills" (Lionsgate, so very little chance).
