His commentaries are one of the reasons I liked getting Twilight Time discs. They were always packed with great details about the films he was watching.

RIP Mr. Redman and condolences to Ms. Kirgo and the rest of his family for their loss.

Echoing what everyone else has posted up to this point, he certainly brought a lot to the table in the film industry and for us Blu-ray collectors.

I hope the label will continue as well.

I'm so sorry to hear this. My condolences to his family and Julie. His writing on film, numerous commentaries, directing of movie extras, and love of film will be greatly missed. Also, TT opened my eyes to so many great films that probably never would've seen a BluRay release.

His presence on an audio commentary always provided further incentive for me to pick up a given title.

A master moderator, IMO. He knew how to get his subjects talking just enough; Avoiding the traps of dead air or unfocused rambling. Commentators, interviewers should study this guy to improve their communications kills.

My CD and BD collections have been significantly embellished with Nick Redman products.

I loved his policy of isolating the film scores for most of the films he released on BD.

He was a great champion of physical media.

I do hope that Twilight Time can continue without him. My condolences to his family and associates.

My condolences to his family... very shocking and tragic news. I admired the man for what he did for the physical media market, bringing a lot of forgotten gems out in the high-def format for the first (and in most cases, probably only) time.

TT is responsible for probably my two favorite discoveries of the last couple years in "Who'll Stop the Rain" and "Cutter's Way". There's countless other films that I've discovered or re-discovered through them. Nick and his associates at TT have had an incredible eye for quality over the years. They've stood out in the world of boutique labels in that they release a lot of the kind of films that simply aren't made anymore, including a lot of "adult" dramas, which can have a limited audience. An eternal tip of the cap to you, Nick.
