I'm still pretty confident it's Uni, since that's the only guess that make sense.
Where did TT say they were adding another studio? I don't think they are adding anyone else. My impression is they were re-negotiating with the current studios and were increasing the titles per month.

This post from earlier in the thread certainly seems to indicate that they are adding another studio:

We are very cognizant of the fact that collectors can't afford everything and with the catalogue market being glutted at the moment, we have to think long and hard about what the maximum release slate should be.

Thanks for all of your support so far -- it is greatly appreciated.

-1 on these titles for me. Sorry.

Definitely want The Thing From Another World.

How about getting these titles released?
Big Wednesday (John Milius' surfing opus about growing up in the late 60's)
The Late Show (70's detective homage to those 40's film noir detective thrillers like The Big Sleep)
Seven Days in May (Burt Lancaster/Kirk Douglas cold war thriller)
Warlock (the Richard Widmark/Henry Fonda 1959 western)

And three great John Sturges films:
Last Train From Gun Hill (great 50's Kirk Douglas western)
Never So Few (Frank Sinatra, Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson)
and Bad Day at Black Rock (this was announced several years ago and then nothing happened).

i quess if i wait a few months after its release i will get all 3 movies for the price of 1 TT release.
Now instead of complaining about TT's business model we get people bragging about getting cheap blu-rays. It actually makes me hope that TT releases even more classics on blu-ray.

Just got my order of FOLLOW THAT DREAM AND MAN HUNT.

The shocker was that they came wrapped in bubble-wrap inside a bomb-proof box. I've always received them in padded envelopes and, frankly, that was fine with me because they always come to me in perfect condition and I've never had a complaint. But I have to confess that the box was a nice touch.

Quick service too. Shipped on the 13th so 8 days to Winnipeg.

Nice job by Screen Archives.

I do know they are going to increase the Sony and Fox titles in 2015.

To Kill a Mockingbird, Pillow Talk, Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein, All Quiet on the Western Front, The Classic Monster Collection.... All first class catalogue releases.

We obsess about Tremors and The Big Lebowski but Universal has shown itself quite capable of producing excellent results with it's older catalogue titles.

Maybe Disney? They don't seem to be in a hurry to release any of their live-action catalog titles. They've licensed them out before (Anchor Bay released the DVDs of films like Something Wicked This Way Comes and Return to Oz).

Or maybe it's Lionsgate, who seem to be quite lax when it comes to their catalog titles. Sure, most of the catalog titles they'd have to offer would be more recent films than TT has released so far, but...

The real kicker would be if it was Lionsgate, and TT was able to sub-license various of the StudioCanal titles that Lionsgate has the rights to.

Warlock is the only one of those likely to be released by Twilight Time, as it's a 20th Century Fox picture. All of the others -- except for Last Train from Gun Hill -- are controlled by Warner, who don't like sharing their toys. And Last Train from Gun Hill is a Paramount title, and it's unclear if Warner controls distribution on that as well.

Pre-ordered La Bamba today as well as getting The Buddy Holly Story and Radio Days. Radio Days I have never seen and I'm hit and miss with Woody Allen, so that one is a blind buy which I hope pans out.

Ordered Man Hunt from TT.
Prices are ok for some of their movies... but i wouldnt want to spend 60-80 on ebay for these OOP movies

I hope sony and other labels will release more such movies after they sold well at a small label like TT

I didn't say that Disney hasn't or won't release catalog titles. After all, they've already done Mary Poppins and Bedknobs and Broomsticks and the original Tron. I just said that they're not in an hurry to, by which I meant that their overall focus has been on the classic animated films and not so much on their classic live-action films.

I had really been hoping we'd get a 60th Anniversary SE of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea this year.
