Oh I want to get this one. I don't have enough interest in Disney films to justify a membership though.

Day one buy! I have absolutely no excuse for having not enrolled in the Disney Movie Club now.

It has an awesome cast too, Don Knotts, Tim Conway and Bill Bixby. I'm in.

Thanks, General.

I have mixed feelings about this. I'm glad to see older live-action Disney films land on Blu-ray, but I hope that none of my "must haves", namely The Black Hole, Something Wicked This Way Comes, or 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, will be released as exclusive titles for Disney Movie Club members.

The Apple Dumpling Gang is a fun little movie. I'm going to wait and see what else comes out exclusive to the club, though, so that I'll have enough items to order as a membership requirement at some point.

DMC Exclusives always end up appearing later on on amazon and ebay and such, maybe for a slightly higher price though. So that's always an option for those interested in the title(s) but not in the membership

There are perks to belonging to the club. Lately they have been offering exclusives like Hercules and Tarzan 2 months early, and at a affordable price. These will probably be in general release at some point.

I may be mistaken, but that's definitely not been the case with any prior Disney Exclusives.
If not through them directly, the only other place I've seen their exclusives show up [just one instance I can think of, with the Ducktales movie] is through the Disney Movie Rewards program.

Most of their recent exclusives though (tv shows on dvd, Gargoyles, Weekenders, etc.) have not been made available for regular purchase elsewhere.

Are there any other BD exclusives? The BD.com database only has Aristocats (piano packaging) and Robin Hood (some sort of 3D card???).

I've only been a member since early this year. So you are probably correct then.

I don't know if this is the "unofficial" DMC ebay Store or not, but they always seem to have supply of all the DMC Exclusive titles. This could just be a way for Disney to clear excess stock too?

Anyways, this is an option for people who don't want to join DMC. As noted in this thread though, they are more expensive than if you are a club member:

Really? Man, I bought from them before. I figured with the numbers of each title sold that is was just an excess burn off by Disney. Why would Disney let someone order that many of each movie?

They don't, which is why it's suspicious & unusual.

Members in the DMC thread regularly report 3 as being a maximum of same titles allowed to be ordered. I know I've personally experienced that over several memberships with them, and several others have as well ... and especially now that they're known to be reviewing previous purchasing history of members when resigning up, it only adds to that.

Definitely something shady there, but not an official or unofficial storefront for Disney -- it would say so if that were the case, not to mention the inflated prices compared to what Disney directly sells them for.

I doubt they are fakes though, because I got a legitimate DMR code with the title that I purchased from them.

So I would guess that they have multiple accounts, or that they are stolen?

No I didnt mean them to be fakes, clearly they're legitimate.

Just obtained in a shady manner clearly.
So they don't need to be promoted everywhere

lol

Um, that eBay seller is definitely someone who works for Disney Movie Club. All they sell is Disney Movie Club exclusives and in relatively high volume. Disney isn't supposed to sell their own exclusives outside of the club - hence them being called 'Club Exclusives' for Disney to release, but they clearly wanted a piece of the market from those who don't decide to join and make an enrollment commitment, so they are selling their stock direct through eBay too.
