Wow, this is really good news as long as this is a regular promotion they're starting. Pretty decent price considering it's Disney, and even though the movies are being widely released, this will hopefully mean some older, obscure titles will be released on Blu-Ray since Disney would be able to handle most of the costs internally. I'd love to see some old Fess Parker films on Blu-Ray, specifically The Great Locomotive Chase and the Davy Crockett films. I really never thought I'd see the day that would be released but I'm a lot more hopeful now.

Seems Disney is taking a page from Warner's book.

This could be a great beginning for Disney live-action catalog titles on Blu-ray!

Incidentally, I've seen new masters on selected classic Disney titles via my cable provider and look fantastic!

They're probably not up there yet, they're just announced in the latest mailer.
Discussed in the main DMC thread

This could be the start of them releasing the live action films. IMO this could be a good thing.

No, no, no. As a child of the 70s, the live action Disney films were part and parcel of our upbringing. So many fond memories of seeing these as part of weekend matinees in the theatres. They used to also show these films in elementary school as fillers for 1/2 days before holidays and the last day of school.

Hopefully this will lead to the other Kurt Russell "Dexter" films, No Deposit No Return, $1,000,000 Duck, Condor Man, The Cat from Outer Space, etc.

Bring em' on!!!

I don't know if this is the "unofficial" DMC ebay Store or not, but they always seem to have supply of all the DMC Exclusive titles. This could just be a way for Disney to clear excess stock too?

Anyways, this is an option for people who don't want to join DMC. As noted in this thread though, they are more expensive than if you are a club member:

No that's probably just someone who's been a member who stocks up on all the exclusives simply for resale purposes

That sucks. I hate to think that I gave them my money in the past before I was a member of DMC.

There also doesn't seem to be too much margin in it for them to be worth the time/effort.

Ok. I thought films like 20000 leagues under the sea, the herbie movies, Old yeller, Parent Trap, Pollyanna, Swiss Family Robinson, the Witch Mountain films etc. are more popular than these..
