Not much in this latest batch of announcements to get me excited but I don't care. I'm so stoked for Cat Ballou that it doesn't matter. Love that cover!

I'll probably pick up Zelig and The Gang's All Here, though.

These sales always come when I can't spent extra money. Wife had to take three weeks off for surgery this month so we're counting our pennies to avoid using too much savings. Bummer!

Definitely in for the Tony Rome double feature and Theatre of Blood. That latter film is a must-see for anyone who enjoyed the Dr. Phibes films.

I'm not especially interested in Vincent Price films (I like Price fine, most of his films just aren't my thing), but this one has Diana Rigg. Va-va-va-voom!

Great to see Zelig and Hardcore. Now we need is Stardust Memories next, and Interiors. Still holding out hope TT will release Truffaut's Small Change, Kurosawa's Rhapsody in August and maybe some early John Sayles (from the MGM deal) and my guess is they acquired The Paper Chase in the Fox deal.

So the 2 Glenn Ford titles I want, are it until September.

My budget breathes a sigh of relief.

Will get The Russia House, Zelig, Hardcore and maybe The Black Stallion Returns. Even better news is that Eye of the Needle seems to be getting a release.

Not just that, but a screenplay by Tom Stoppard(!), based on a novel by John le Carré(!).

Definitely THE RUSSIA HOUSE---Sean Connery and a great score by Jerry Goldsmith.
Maybe TONY ROME/LADY IN CEMENT.

FILMMUSIC:

I saw THE RUSSIA HOUSE on dvd several years ago. It's not a great movie (I thought Roy Scheider's CIA character was an anti-American caricature), but I will buy the movie only because Connery is in it and watch it with Goldsmith's score. I already have the score on cd and hope it's remastered in the future.
